Brown sugar, crude sugar, malt sugar and other sugars are listed as ingredients. The description says, "All ingredients are fermented together" but it doesn't make any sense because the product tastes as sweet as concentrated sugar syrup. Do your homemade fermented veggies taste sweet?
One tbsp contains 9.3 grams of sugar. Recommended daily use is two tablespoons, which makes 18.6 grams of sugar. Add this to your fruit and/or to your desert and to the other carbohydrates that you ate that day! As if Americans don't eat tons of sugar indeed. With this amount of sugar all the benefits of fermented goodness are nullified.
The description mentions many times that the product is made in Japan as if this makes it somehow very special. I don't care if it's made in Japan or in Mars, that much sugar is NOT healthy.
But wait, there is more news: they say you can detoxify your body using 1 oz of drink up to five times a day, which makes 93 grams of sugar a day. Surprise! Who knew you can do a detox with sugar!
The product comes well packaged with clear instructions for those of you who want to try different levels of consumption. I probably won’t be trying the cleanse routine, but I feel great and will continue my daily use.
BTW, delivery was fast and easy. No hassles. Strongly recommended.

The package includes some useful suggestions on various ways you can take it depending on your health related objective – explaining various ways you can “cleanse.” The instruction sheet explains specific ratios you can mix the KOSO with filtered or sparkling water, but I like to use it more casually and just take it by diluting an ounce or two of the KOSO in a large glass of water every morning and again in the evening. For me this ratio creates a drink that is slightly fruity and quite refreshing and I was able to feel a cleansing effect soon after I started taking it.
But, again, the instruction sheet gives very good details on suggested usage per type of cleanse.
Thanks for making such a great product!
