Too difficult to install

I got the 1/8-inch size to fit standard 1/8-inch diameter USB cables. I was able to work it on to a highly flexible cable with considerable effort. First problem was that the sleeve does not open easily nor stay open. Second, the sleeve does not seal itself automatically as claimed; it has to be stretched and pulled closed which is challenging with a cable trying to get out. Eventually I got it done after many tries. However, when I tried to wrestle the sleeve on to a stiffer USB cable of the same size I could not keep it inside no matter what I did. I gave up after breaking a fingernail. A 1/4-inch sleeve might work but would probably be too big for a neat appearance.

incredibly hard to apply

After about 45 minutes of trying I had incredibly sore fingers... and had made it about 2' down a 5' mouse cable. My wife tried to cover a USB extender cable, and gave up with similar results. This seemed like it would be quicker to install than the ones that spiral around the cords... it's not.

For special fun, I already cut it to length for the first cord, so I can't even return it.

These cord protectors are very easy to use and they fit snugly on the appropriately sized cables. Make sure that directions are followed for cutting and sealing the ends. For the most part my cats now leave the cables alone however one cat who has a history of pica did try to pull off one end with his teeth. To solve that I used some cable lacing cord I had to secure the exposed end and a tie wrap at the other end. That worked well.

I wall mounted a Samsung Frame TV and ran the cable in wall. since the cable was not in wall rated and is somewhat fragile. I added this wire loom to the cable to give me an extra layer of confidence. Install was about 5 min once I got the hang of separating the wire loom and inserting the cable. It feels and looks OEM once completed.

Solid Wire Loom to discourage the cat

I bought this to protect the wire of my Macbook Pro power cord from our cat. It seems to be working so far, as the cat has left the cord alone. The split loom allows you to place the loom over the thin portion of the power cord, but you will have to slowly work unraveling the loom, as it's quite tight and hard on the fingers. Seems to be working, but not an easy install.

Very, very difficult to put on

This item is extremely difficult to get around the wire. It takes a very long time to put on and it is near impossible if you have arthritis in your hands. Once on it should keep the cat from chewing the wire. The cat prefers the narrower wires like phone charges and computer charger.
