To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
First, it's a genuine original HP toner cartridge. Extremely expensive. And the printer cannot print without the chip. It's extremely difficult to get the chip out of the original cartridge. So, we must buy the genuine original cartridge. But it's way too expensive, and not locally available. This cartridge had to fly all the way from the other side of the globe to Canada. What's the point of making everything so complicated and expensive?
Second, I've just printed a few hundred pages but the toner level has dropped to 20%. Why is that? I've been using HP laserjet and original toner for over 25 years. I had never had this situation. Why is that? What kind of toner cartridge is that?
I printed less than 100 pages and the ink has started to fade already -- I am shocked, given this was supposed to an "authentic" HP product. It also does not contain a chip -- which would not be a big deal if it actually printed more than a 100 pages.
