If any paper is thicker than the thinnest the printer won't find it. It constantly says that there is no paper in the hopper. When I do get really light weight paper in the hopper, I have to reboot the printer and the pc in order to get anything to show. When it did print the printing was really light. I don't do much printing, thank goodness, however, the time between printing seems to allow the ink to dry out. I think I have managed to print two pages since 2019 when I bought the printer. I hate this printer.
Let's start with the connectivity. I work in software as my profession and the first time I set it up it took an hour and I almost threw it out the window. It turned out the printer is not compatible with the 5G network I was trying to connect it to, and for some reason even though there's an ENTIRE app developed just to handle this it couldn't just tell me that? Fine.
Following this, it's been dicey EVERY time I go to print something, whether or not the printer will actually connect properly. Printing in this day and age should be WAY WAY more seamless than this. It should just be something I can set up with AirPrint and forget about forever.
Next, print head issues. After half a year of using it sporadically, it started just skipping lines left and right, all my prints come out faded with horrible streaking across lines. Now 10 months into owning the printer, what it's producing can't be used at all. I am messaging customer service and hoping to god they at least replace it with a new model or let me return it, this is really upsetting.
This printer often gets stuck printing and does not print often (connection, faulty out of paper issue). I have to turn off and restart the whole printing process almost every time I print. Also, design is faulty too - the paper output should be set higher so that it doesn't spit out paper right on the surface it is sitting. Paper gets jammed on every little item on the desk, and because of this issue It needs more space in front of it. My old printer which was larger but had higher output tray that cleared papers off the desk surface, and I felt like I had more usable space on my desk than this printer. Considering replacing it.
This printer's capacity is tiny. The ink cartridge doesn't last beyond 40 pages of black and/or colored ink--just terrible. Even if you're not a heavy volume printer, about 40 pages is a joke. I am giving this printer two stars because the design is slim and space saving. I do like that I can close and stow away easily. Also, it's a rather quick printer, with minimal noise, which is always a bonus. Other than that, this printer is not a quality piece of technology. I will be returning and buying a slightly larger printer with ink to span 500+ pages, at just $40 more in price.
This was a nice compact printer BUT you need to use it with a smart phone and I wanted something on my desk for my laptop. All I wanted was a scanner and printer for my home documents and this was not at all what I was looking for. It was easy to set up, but when I tried using it with my laptop it was so frustrating and the scanner was basically not found. It was my own fault because of the "SMART PHONE" issue, but that annoyed me. Not everyone has a smart phone so this was a waste of time for me.
Please note: I purchased this product to be both a mobile printer and scanner. However, it does not scan. The scanner function is only within the iPhone app which uses the iPhone camera. The product listing for this is deceptive.
its been opened and used, but it was sold to me as new, this is the third time this has happened with amazon in the last few months. Feel like I should be provided at least a 33% discount. its gonn cost me more in time and effort to repackage, wrap and take some where to return. Think I will give amazon a break for a while till they are not so overwhelmed I suppose and are not trying to pass off used returned items for new.
But it has been more of a headache than anything. I constantly have issue printing from my Macbook and Windows laptop. For the longest, I had to send an email to the printer in order to have anything print. If you like to scan documents then don't get this printer. The taking photo and send is not all that great.
The one good positive about this printer is that it looks really good and doesn't take that much space. Outside of that, I would not recommend this printer
My number 1 complaint is that the app that you use to print pictures from your phone does not allow selecting multiple pictures, you have to print 1 at a time. The ink for this printer can be subscription based and sent to you when needed, for a monthly fee. With this plan there is monthly limits for prints before you incur additional charges. There are different plan options to meet your printing needs. Alot of the functions of the printer require the app. Sometimes the app is frustrating and since I dont print very often I have not really been able to figure it out.
Bought for my grandmother. She does a lot of printing and needed something she could print without needing to constantly go to her lap top to be able to print.
Thought this was the greatest fit, but come to find out, it has WAY too many connection issues. She is in CO and I am in WA, and to get a phone call (on average, once a week) about it not working and having to go trouble shoot it every time. Not a fan. Going to buy a new one and figure out what to do with this one
Do not recommend if you are looking for a Wireless-only printer.
