Just had a new bathroom and wanted some relaxing LED tealights to dot around the place. I first tried some from a bargain shop, I wish I hadn't. They were very orange and not realistic at all and so not at all relaxing. So I bought these as they looked more realistic. They are FABULOUS. Although you can see they are fake if you have them just on their own, in a tealight holder or a glass jar, they are quite realistic. When I showed my husband them set up, I went to switch them off and he said "Don't tip a candle upside down!!! Oh.....it's got a switch? They're not fake are they???". The only little issue I have is that the flicker can be too fast, but that's just my personal taste.
Lovely little candles. I’m really impressed with quality and feel. Much less fiddly and messy than real tea lights. My husband thought they were real. I can’t comment on battery life as have only just got them but all 12 arrived in working order. I don’t often leave reviews but these really deserve 5 stars. Delighted
Purchased to use in my bedroom as I love having candles going, but worry about nodding off when they are lit ... absolutely love these so far, and will definately purchase again in the future. Candles are small, tea light sized diameter but double the height. Cast a beautiful, warm, flickering glow, perfectly simulating candles. Look great in my various tea light holders.
These are really realistic. The flickering is just like that of a real candle- so much so that my 5 year old always asks me if they’re real or not! They’re a little tall for some of my candle holders which are designed to take traditional night lights but still useable in them. Had them on quite a bit over Christmas and the batteries are still going strong- they take the coin shaped CR2032 battery so should last longer than those which take the tiny batteries.
Bought these for some decorative lighting effects in some Christmas decorations, instead of lighting real tea lights each day and blowing out each night. I only used 6/12, as the batteries lasted right through until we took the decorations down - and never turned off during that time!
Great little artificial tealights. They fit into standard tealight holders. They each come with a penny battery and all 12 are working. In terms of how realistic they are - they aren't. They're artificial candles! They look best in frosted or crystal candle holders. I love having a lot of candles but they produce far more soot than people realise. Over time, ceilings get dingy with it and you're probably inhaling it too. You can also put artificial candles into nooks and corners where you wouldn't be able to put a real candle because of the fire risk. Made in China.
I’m really disappointed:(((. They are not warm white, they give out this strange greenish glow, I’d say it’s bright white/green. Doesn’t create the cosy feeling that a real candle has. And the plastic bit itself looks too plasticky and unrealistic. You can see the difference clearly from the photo. Can’t be bothered to send them back, one of those hit and miss Amazon purchases..
My wife and I have bought many battery operated 't-lights' over the years, but they have all suffered from being really poorly made or have depressingly poor battery life...and in most cases, both. I bought these lights on a whim, mainly due to throwing some old ones away. I'm glad I got them. They are as well made as these sort of lights can be, have a lovely warm-white glow that is bright but not overpowering and battery life that has been exceptional. Since getting them a month ago they have been on pretty much every day from sun down (approx. 4.20pm) until my normal bedtime of 11pm, without a battery chance. I would highly recommend these...you won't be disappointed.
I absolutely love these. Their output is so realistic that I always reach over them at the dinner table cautiously, subconsciously thinking they're real tealights and I'm going to get burned (maybe that's the wine making me do that, I dunno?) I bought a boatload of the disc batteries to replace them instead of buying new candles, but I haven't even needed to replace batteries yet and I reckon they've been running for about 100+ hours so far
