Nice light, pressure is a bit low

I love the various settings and the gentle LED lighting, but even the higher pressure rain setting is a bit too low. I also like the mist setting for creating a sauna-like environment. The temperature feels much lower on that setting than it does on the others, so you can turn it way up and get a fine, warm fog or leave it low to help you cool down before you get out of the shower. I don't use the lower pressure rain setting at all since even the higher one is too soft, and the high pressure center-only setting is kind of useless since it doesn't cover enough area. It's a pretty good shower head with at least one setting for pretty much anyone to be happy with. Of course, we all know the main selling point here is the lighting. It's beautiful and enough to see by without additional help once your eyes get about five minutes to adjust. At least the blue is; I can't speak for the other colors since they only come on when it's uncomfortably hot.

Middle of the Road Shower Head

While much of this has been said in other reviews, I want to state my experience because I feel that these are important features. The shower head is made of chrome painted plastic, and not metal. The water pressure is decently strong and the five different spray modes work just fine. There is a nice audible click when you change from one mode to another.

One aspect that is not mentioned as much in the reviews, is that there is a spinning generator built into the head that produces a high-pitched whirring noise when the shower is on. In my situation, my shower is enclosed, causing the noise to be amplified quite a bit. It is not enough to make me uninstall the shower head, but it is quite noticeable and I haven't gotten used to it yet.

Finally, the lights are not bright enough to illuminate the shower enough to be able to see clearly in the dark, but provide ambient light. If you have other lights in the bathroom turned on, you might as well only use the LED lights to indicate temperature change (A feature which does work well).

All-in-all, its a somewhat fun purchase, that will certainly outpace most basic shower heads, but the loud noise, dim lights, and plastic design detract from the overall experience in my opinion.

I look at this as a missed opportunity, this unit is a great looking unit, it looks like it is quality, it is large and could have been great if only they had used quality materials! It is very cheaply made, noisy when the water is running and feels cheap when you touch it - I personally would have paid twice as much for better quality! Don’t waste your money on this one!!!

Pros: I LOVE THIS SHOWERHEAD! This might be my favorite purchase through Amazon. First, its a great size. Second, I love that the LED lights color transition based off of the water temperature. This is way better than other similar products who have a strobe light effect. It helps my son know when the water temperature is just right (green), instead of having water that is too hot (red) or too cold (blue) and I don't have to force him to take a shower! He offers now, which is nice.lol. For my husband and I...well let's just say showers are a new experience. Relaxing and exciting at the same time. ;)

Cons: Be sure you buy the white tape under the "frequently bought together" portion at the bottom of this page. When I first put it on without it, water was squirting out at the connection nut. This tape makes sure it's a tight seal with no leaks. Also, if you don't already know, this showerhead is not for hand held shower devices. It is for wall mounted faucets and if you don't have an extension pipe, I would recommend purchasing one of those too.

I wrote a well thought out review and amazon refreshed and lost it so here is a quick to the main points review.

I ordered this unit to replace a 6 inch Waterpik shower head. My old shower head had zero pressure like a light rain. This one has that setting as well as a hard rain with lots of pressure. (and 3 other settings)

The lights are great. They don't light up the room but are plenty bright. I didn't expect them to be so spot on with the temperature. I figured it would be more of a novelty but it's very precise.

It's larger than I thought and in a good way. It's a great looking product but not as futuristic as I had expected it to be. The pics in the ad don't really show it that well.

I would recommend it to everyone and couldn't imagine there being a better shower head out there at any price. I just ordered 2 more to give as gifts.
