Be aware!! This is an exceptionally NARROW & thinner than expected mat. It never occurred to me to pay more attention to the width in particular because, well... why wouldn’t a kitchen mat be wide enough to stand on once butted up to the baseboard of the cupboards, at a sink, like “normal” sized mats? Well, IT IS NOT. You’ll literally stand on the outer lip of the mat if tucked underneath a very standard width bottom cupboard area. The last photo is the mat from Costco that is standard & twice as thick & MUCH better quality in every aspect, that I’m super sad that they no longer carry. I was excited about the length of this mat, but now understand why it’s a good price. To be a standard mat width, it would need another 4” or so in width! We’re going to use it in our basement wood shop. I would’ve never paid this much for a shop mat.
My wife has been wanted fatigue mats for years and I have been like do we really need them. I finally gave in and said sure why not but now we both kind of are regretting the purchase. While they are very comfortable to stand on and do work they are far from perfect. They like to constantly slide around and will not stay put plus I tend to trip over them a lot. So it is a love hate type deal. I suppose if I were to place grip tape on bottom that would stop the sliding issue but should not have to do that to make it work properly. Anyways hope this helps and thanks.
These rugs will save your back and feet if you stand for any amount of time in your kitchen or where ever you put them. I bought 3 of them the long one is in front of my sink and the 2 short ones or in front of my stove and the other in front of my island where I prepare all my food. If you are like me and freeze and can your vegetables these are a must have. I can actually stand straight and walk after a day of gathering from the garden then preparing and canning. Though I still feel some stress in my hip and back the pain is barely there and my leg is not swelled even half as bad. They are easy to sweep off and clean and are also nice and thick to give you good support. I highly recommend these rugs.
Just received our new mat. The color is great and love the inset pattern. It is very padded and comfortable on our feet! It's a soft, cushy, rubber type material, so it will clean off easily, as well. Looking forward to using it daily!
1st off I love the design on this mat it much prettier then any of the other ones I've looked at. I've been wanting an anti fatigue mat for a while as my feet hurt after a long day at work. When I did the dishes the other night my feet felt like they were standing on a cloud. My daughter even wants to do the dishes so she can stand on it cause she says it makes her feet feel good. I just ordered a 2nd one for in front of my stove. My only complaint it that I feel like it needs to be a little wider.
I had previously purchased a thinner set of "KMAT" brand anti-fatigue rugs for my kitchen (the ones with the "trellis type" design). But I wasn't particularly thrilled with them. I decided to spend more and buy this one instead, and it is worth every extra penny! It much thicker, a nicer pattern, and just better overall. I love it and purchased two more of the 28-inch ones. My mother liked it so well that we ordered 5-ft and 28-inch ones for her kitchen, too. The only caveat was that they come rolled up pretty tight in a sealed bag. The second I opened the bag, the smell was overwhelming. I left them out in the garage overnight and it faded enough to be fine now, it's just a bit much at first. And they did lay nice and flat after being out of the bag for a little while. If you're on the fence, do NOT try to save money by purchasing the cheaper rugs - these are well worth the extra expense.
I live in a slab concrete house. While we put engineered floors on top of the concrete it's still concrete which doesn't offer any give for my joints. I purchased these mats to use in my kitchen in front of all my work areas (stove and counter beside, 6 foot bar, kitchen sink and coffee area). It makes a big difference in the way my legs and feet feel while working in my kitchen. I can now stand longer without fatigue and pain in my legs and feet. Cleanup is simply wiping it up with a wet or dry cloth (depending on what I spilled on it). They do move some on the floor, but that may be due to destructive 6 lb kitten which is apparently a Godzilla reincarnate. They do not slip around on the floor while I'm standing on them, and so far are holding up well. by the way, did I mention how attractive they are? Love how they look, not cheap or kitchy!
This was perfect to replace a runner rug in front of our sliding glass door. Our 95lb dog likes to sit at the door to watch the birds out back and we wanted something a little softer to lay on when he does. This is much thicker with a nice color/ pattern. The biggest plus is that we can just sweep and wipe it off to clean it...so no more having to throw a rug in the wash every week. Our pups are 50lb and 95lbs and we were worried about their nails putting holes in it but it's holding up great. Looks really nice! The runner size is exactly the length of our sliding glass doors, perfect :)
I have used washable runners in my kitchen for about 20 years. I saw these mats and just wasn’t sure. The color, for one thing was dark. Not really complementary or pretty. But I liked the ‘engraved’ design and I was tired of having to the rugs constantly. I took a chance on these. Easily cleaned with a dust buster type, hand-held vacuum, or wiped off with a damp paper towel. Very comfortable. My only complaint is that they are quite narrow so you have to stand close to your counters to be on them. Otherwise, I am very happy I gave them a try
These mats are very nice. I don't like the embossing on them, but I knew it was there before I bought them, so that's on me. They're nice and heavy so them sliding around is not an issue. And they're nice and thick which makes them nice and supportive. The best part is that our cat hasn't been able to drag them around the kitchen, which is how the last 2 sets were ruined (different mats, different company). So as of right now, I'm very happy with them.
