I actually decided I one of these mats for my bathroom. We have lots of animals and 1 who likes to pee on rugs (ugh)! Now that we have gone through way too many fabric rugs, I thought these would be perfect... and they are! I really like the long runner because especially now that it's getting cooler, it keeps all of our feet from freezing on the tile. I've only had them for about a week, but they seem to be holding up to all the foot traffic nicely. Even though I have them in my bathroom, I am sure they are great anywhere.
I was excited for these - even in my small kitchen, I find that standing at the sink or stove for too long makes my arthritis more painful in my legs and feet. These were cute (but thinner and cheaper looking than I expected) upon arrival, but they’ve only been on the floor for about 6 weeks and I’m literally going to throw them away. We don’t wear shoes in the house - but even with just been feet or slippers, these have chunks ripped out of them and the color is wearing unevenly. I would not recommend these to anyone and I regret not returning them immediately based on the flimsiness of them.
I was skeptical of getting a mat that wasn't carpet. Boy, was I wrong! These mat are so cushioned. And we have two hairy dogs, which means the carpet mats either needed to be washed and dried and eventually the rubber backing fell apart, or to look good and not like it had snowed dog hair on them had to be vacuumed every day. Which they weren't. These mat you can just wipe off, don't attract hair, obviously, and are really cute. I LOVE them! PS They don't, however, sweep the floor as you can tell by the photo. (eye roll)
The color in the photo is accurate... Their "green" or "teal" or whatever is my turquoise.
They help relieve my foot pain while cooking and cleaning in the kitchen.
They are slide resistant, so that's helpful too.
Unfortunately, they stain. They are easy to clean, as in sanitize, deodorize, disinfect, and remove all debris... BUT, there's a dull lingering dinginess that's developing in the texture of the finish... I have scrubbed with bleach wipes... Nothing. It's only noticeable when you're down close and cleaning it, but now I know it's there.
They're totally worth the $30 something I paid, but I'd expect an easier to "clean" coating if I'd paid $50+.
I'll update this as soon as they start to crack or show wear. I use them everyday (constantly cooking/cleaning!) And I bleach them weekly.
Nothing anti-fatigue about these. We've used the original GelPro (photos of them side by side here) mats for years and they were getting worn. We thought these would be similar and the price was terrific. Wow, are these inferior quality. Hardly come up what seems like 1/4th of an inch off the floor, offer no anti-fatigue whatsoever, and our feet leave indentions in the foam when we walk away. And, an added disappointment, our cats are drawn to these for some reason, and claw them up. So we can't return them. We just use them as cat mats now. They claw them up and sleep on them. In the kitchen, they are useless. Comparatively, it's no contest against GelPro.
Ordered green. Leaning more towards a real and the lighter area is more of a dusty robin's eggs (both of which I am happy with and hoped for). I purchased for my bad back and my many hours spent baking/decorating in the kitchen and couldn't really afford a professional grade mat, nor did I want a commercial ugly black or gray. Tou get what you pay for. Haven't spent much time on them yet, but for the "average" user they seem to serve their purpose for added comfort. It seems that I may have to double up when spending my many hours at the counter decorating, but since there are 2, all good. Lightweight and comfortable underfoot (even in bare feet- not "plasticky", but wipe up good.
I must edit. The seller read my feedback and messaged me. They were prompt in helping me resolve my issue of two different tones. My new set are same tone and wonderfully bright in my kitchen. These are perfect for our kitchen floor and comfortable to stand on. I have PF and standing for long periods can be painful. I spend much time in my kitchen working or cooking for the family and these rock for less pain and I love how the blue brightens my kitchen as well as protect the hardwood floors of my 100 year old remodeled building. *** Original post, now revised *** These came in a set but two different colors. One is bright and the other is dull.
If you are looking for a soft, easy to clean and versatile mat under your feet then this is the one for you. I originally bought this for my kitchen and decided that I liked it so much, I put one in front of my bathroom vanity as well! It makes such a difference on the pressure on my feet. It is soft and cushy and when I am standing for lengthly periods of time to wash dishes or put on makeup, I no longer feel the discomfort in my feet from standing on the hard tile floor. The color is bright and cheerful. The design is current and clean. While it does not absorb water, it is not ideal for very wet areas. I wish it came in more sizes and more colors or maybe seasonal designs.
Very disappointed, for the cost of this set im so disappointed! Day one it got a tear, these are in my kitchen and its not a walk through style so literally only stand on these when im at the oven or sink, theres a hole torn now. Honestly debating if ill send it back for a refund.
