Bought for the extra length when using as a rinsing took in my claw foot bathtub.
Assembled hose to existing handheld shower wand - water squirted everywhere from below coupling onto hose and into air. After some study and trial/error, figured out that the hose coupling must have very flush fit to end of shower head.
Inserted second washer into hose end [on top of the one already in the hose, and removed Teflon tape from threads of shower head. Was able to screw shower head farther into the hose coupling until shower head end touched the two washers in the hose end.
No leaks now, and am looking forward to washing hair over side of tub when shower not convenient.

This shower hose is constructed of top shelf stainless steel with beautifully machined fittings. The packaging was amazing in that not only were the threaded ends protected with plastic inserts, but the outside of each end is also protected by a plastic sleeve. The hoes itself is pliable and bends with an unbelievable smoothness. I shopped a big box hardware store and found 1 (one) choice, a plastic looking hose that is supposed to stretch from 5' to 7' (big deal) for $26. This awesome extended 8' version was less than half that and it was delivered, in my hand, the next day! Incredible!

I'm not mechanically inclined but I can figure out anything given enough time. So, I removed the yellow thingies with pliers. Connected the smaller end to the hand fixture and the longer end to the wall fixture. Used pliers to tighten the connections. Seems to be fine. Tested it but did not do a full use yet. As someone else said, now I can wash the small dogs!
