Everything Melissa & Doug makes is awesome. The artwork is always great and the toys are sturdy. Which is great for the really small ones. Speaking of small ones, it seems important to know that the anatomy on these is more 'accurate' than most things for children. I attached a picture so you're not surprised like I was when first opening it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Homeschool anatomy lesson

I homeschool my kiddos and this was the perfect addition for our anatomy unit. My eldest is using a squishy guts model and we got this Melissa and Doug magnetic “toy” for our four year old whom we are starting preschool for. The lesson was a hit! This is a toy that we will revisit numerous times to cover all the different systems. I picked it because it’s anatomically correct and wanted an age appropriate way to discuss the male and female parts. Like others have mentioned, this needs a lid!!!! Seriously! I’m considering getting a letter tray so that we can sit this horizontally to avoid losing parts while still maximizing space. That way, we can use the other letter tray slots to hold other similar non-lided wooden toys and puzzles. I also wonder if Melissa and Doug’s wire puzzle rack holder would work for this. I may look into getting one
