Great if you're somewhat OCD about loose cables and want a easier time vacuuming the floor (instead of having to move the cables around when vacuuming). I painted the backside and the underside with the same paint as my wall, and mounted it backwards to basically hide all the cables reasonably well.
The tray itself is good, it's not too thin as to feel flimsy, but also not so thick that the power bar and power bricks might have trouble dissipating heat. The mounting screws also secure the tray well. Overall a great product for my purposes.
I ordered 2 of these for a new standing desk. They work and there isn't much to say, except that one of the 2 came dented in the corner. Since this sits behind the desk and I could easily bend it back to relative normal, it's not worth it for me to return. It could be the packaging, damaged during shipping, etc. so not necessarily the manufacturer's fault.
I also wish they were a bit larger. I crammed a double-sided power bar in finding the narrowest I could, but if you're going with these, you should probably go with a long, narrow power bar.
The wood screws they come with a relatively large but I quickly understood why, as I'm cramming cables in I had to push back against the bottom of the tray to ensure I'm not ripping them off the desk.
I know there aren't a ton of options out there and I'd describe this as "fine" - I'd rate it a 2.5 if possible but since it was dented I'm giving it a 2.
I received mine undamaged, seems like sturdy metal, white to match my desk. I screwed it to the bottom of my desk facing the back so everything is hidden. It is holding 2 mini charge boxes and a 5 outlet extension cord with 4 plugs attached. I don't see that I received an adhesive tape, not sure if I was supposed too. Great product, would recommend.
Because it is bent, thin gauge metal it is possible to bend it out of shape. However, it does serve it’s purpose well. I have a 5 outlet power bar sitting in it. I used some tie raps to strap cords and cables and place in the tray. I guess for the money, it’s not a bad cable tray. For the price, I expected something a little more sturdy.
I was looking for a solution for cable management. I liked the design of this cable tray and thought I'd try it out. Installation is straight forward, pick a spot under your desk you want to put it and mount it with 2 screws. Works as intended as I hide a power strip and many cords/cables for a cleaner setup.
I prefer the look of this over the wire rack type cable trays. The size is just right to fit a power bar inside if you don't want to mount it to the underside of your desk. Hides the cables very well, and the pre drilled holes help for installation and can double as a place to feed cables into if you like.
