Bought 2 of these for my kids. We set it up with one transmitter attached to the tv which both chairs share.
My first and biggest complaint is that the Bluetooth transmitter that hooks up to the tv works fine, but it doesn’t come with an ac adapter so you need to replace 2 AAA batteries often. Checking the company website FAQ gives you some specs and suggestions (3v, 1-2 amps) how to buy one that fits, but doesn’t give you the diameter of the plug. So I bought a multi-adapter which had multiple plugs including a plug that fit. Now when I plug it in, the chair emits a weird noise and you don’t hear the tv sound, so this was a waste of time and money. Switch to batteries and the noise goes away and it works. Company could solve it by adding the ac adapter, but it could be a problem with the transmitter and they “solved” this problem by making you use batteries. Minus one star, otherwise the chair would be a 4-star going on 5.
Other than that the chair’s fairly decent. The height will be ok for some, depending on how you sit in it. I’m 5’9” and my head rests right on the head rest with the top of my head slightly above the top of the chair. My son who is 5’10” actually sits lower - teenager style, I guess.
The edge of the chair where your legs hang over is a little hard and uncomfortable if you stretch your legs out straight for an extended period, but if you put your feet flat on the floor with legs bent even slightly, it’s quite comfortable. Lumbar support is not there. I need to add this if I am using it. Arm rests are not padded, but they are positioned well so they are quite comfortable. Most of the padding on the chair is hard (not squishy), but ok.
Sound quality is quite good with no noticeable lag using the wireless. I watched big grins on my kids when we first turned it on with the Xbox. The bass was up so they could “feel” the game. They really appreciate the stereo sound which gives them a gaming sense of direction, as opposed to the sound coming out of the tv.
One last note is that the company faq states the tv speakers will be off when the chairs are used, but not with our tv. Model specific, I guess. We like it this way as others watching tv get the sound from the tv and we don’t have to mess around with different set-up depending on who is doing what with the tv.
Overall I’m happy with the purchase.
