This chair looks great, and any young Super Mario fan will likely be excited to have such a cool looking chair. It is rather small (check the dimensions in the description), but for younger kids it is fine. You can adjust the volume and bass level with dials on the right side of the chair, next to the power button and audio input. There is a Line In, Line out, and Headphone jack all on the right side.
The chair is easy to assemble, you just attach the bottom plate with 4 screws, and then each arm with 3 screws each. It only takes a few minutes with the included Allen wrench. When everything is connected, the speakers sound decent, but keep in mind that they are built into the back of the chair, so the volume is actually a little louder behind the chair than in front.
Other things to consider:
-You can’t adjust the height of the chair. There is a knob on the bottom to adjust the tension for rocking back and forth slightly, but you can’t adjust the height like you can with most computer chairs. Since it is pretty low to the ground, this might be an issue if you are planning to use this at a computer desk, for example.
-Cable management. For the speakers to work, you will have at least two cables to consider: one 1/8th inch audio cable that goes from the chair to the audio source and plugs into a headphone jack or line out, and also one power cable (both included). The power cable is about 80 inches long, so you must be at least that close to an outlet to plug in, and both cables plug into the chair on the right side. This was a little inconvenient for our setup, and obviously you can’t spin around in circles while the wires are connected, which our little one was sad about. After trying in vain to find a great solution for the cables, we just decided not to use the speakers at all.
Overall, this is a cool Super Mario chair, but we wish the height was adjustable. It also would’ve been nice to be able to plug into the base of the chair, so that the cables were more out of the way. Still, a very cool chair for any little Super Mario fan, and if those things aren’t an issue for you, then this is perfect.
