It’s well made but from very lightweight material. If you’re looking for sturdiness on a memory foam mattress I’m afraid you would want to keep looking. With my standard 15 inch Dell work (heavy) laptop on it I can still enjoy the height it provides, however I constantly worry about it tilting over should I move a little bit. It rocks back and forth very easily due to the featherweight legs and the design that transfer the weight from the top through only 2 vertical think lines (the legs). My lesson learned is to look for a bed desk with 4 legs and avoid aluminum.
This is a little larger than I expected, if it were even 1/2 an inch wider it would not fit in the recliner that I use it in. So far it is really sturdy, and easy to use. The only real complaint that I have is that the brackets for holding the laptop in place are off to one side instead of being centered where you would normally use the table when sitting in a chair. I solve this by only using one of the clamps and centering the laptop to my comfort. This works well, and there is still room for a book or a notebook off to the side.
I bought another laptop desk a while ago and was disappointed by how cheap and flimsy it was. This time I spent a little more and am not disappointed
Would be nice if it was wider. It only fits over my lap if my legs are super close. And if you put your laptop to the left you have to reach to the left. Would be better with a center laptop position and a pull out mouse table on the right.
