I was hoping this would fit snugly into the top of a standard sized pot to use for melting wax, butters and glycerin products in lotion and soap projects. It might fit snugly inside a mini pot (like the kind you use for reheating 1 small can of corn) but definitely not a normal pot. It is slightly bigger than a hand held sieve. Not what I was looking for. Would be perfect for someone that is using it for small quantities like making lip balms.
I bought this because around the holidays I make a lot of desserts, chocolates and fudge. I wasn't expecting it to be really big but this is extremely small will be lucky if it can even hold a half cup of chocolate. I will say It seems like the bowl is sturdy and would last awhile, not sure about the handle though its made of a hard plastic that I'm thinking will probably break or melt after a few uses
i thought it was going to be much larger but it's small; imagine a grapefruit cut in half and you've got the visual idea. I'm using it for craft relate stuff (melting beeswax). It heats up quickly and conducts heat well - I was able to melt and pour 12 ounces of beeswax and coconut oil in there rapidly and efficiently. I think it would be great for chocolate or butter, but not for making a sauce (no room to whisk stuff).
Great quality product. Looks classic! As description. I use this for my chocolate, butter, baking crafting projects, easy to use and easy to clean. The handle and each side are very convenient. I'm highly recommend it!
