I decided to buy this instead of a flashlight for occasional times I needed a portable lamp. I really liked it and was pleased with it, in every way. I even recommended it to two other people. It is too expensive to be a wise purchase for my low budget but I found it beautiful, and it had many good reviews. I'm 80 years old, and I thought it would last a very long time, especially since it does not get much use. However, now, after six months, it can no longer hold a charge. What a disappointment. I am so sorry I wasted my money on it.
I bought this 5 months ago. I loved it. It was my companion for most of the time. The loved the warm light it gave and how it was chargeable and light to carry. So I would take it with me on the balcony, in my bedroom etc.. ofcourse it's design was beautiful also. But few weeks ago, the battery stopped charging which meant it doesn't have a life span beyond 5 months? It's a shame cause it's an amazing product otherwise. Unless the one I got had a defective battery?
Nowhere have I found reference to the lumens, and I understand how important that is. If you’re concerned about the amoulevel of light - don’t be. levels 5%, 15%, 50% and 100%. You could read by the brightest and the dimmest is like a nite-lite. It’s beautiful, well packaged, just the right size AND functional. I wanted the brass, which wasn’t available, not disappointed with my second choice - Nickel. Wish it lasted longer, but the length of time between charges is not unreasonable. Did I mention it’s beautiful? The included charge cable is a USB C to A, not Micro. I use an old iDevice adapter for the USB A end. Instructions say to “turn off before charging” - but I’m not sure how to know if it’s ‘off’, when ‘dead’.
I love this, and bought another one for my friend's birthday. I find I carry it around from room to room with me because it can give a soft light like candle if you wish, or a stronger light to read by. I will use it on the deck when the weather is warm. It is elegant and well-made. I love it!
This lamp is a solid one. Such a clever design, functional and really nice levels of lighting. I have had it for at least a couple of months now and am very happy with it. So easy to move from room to room and not have a cluttered living space. The only thing that fell short for me was that I emailed the company twice to send them my little warranty card that comes with the lamp; it's been at least a couple of months and no one has ever replied. I had used the email that was displayed on the Tubicen box; not sure what happened there?
This rechargeable lamp is perfect for my small apartment since most of the wall outlets are already being used or are blocked by furniture. I love the stylish minimalist look of it and the fact that I can carry it around wherever I need light. Mainly I use it in the evening once the kiddos have gone to bed and I want a low light for watching TV. It feels high quality and there is a rubberized bottom so it sits softly and does not make a lound noise when you put it down. I was worried that the nickel finish would not look as good as some other colour combinations but it looks amazing and I'm very happy with my choice!
Update, After about a year this lamp died. --------- I bought this to take camping, it makes a simple and handy little lantern. The colour tone of the light is nice and mellow and the battery life is great. So far it's holding up well after 3 trips.
This lamp is the perfect size. It’s got a decent duration for a rechargeable. The four levels of brightness are damn near perfect. Design is beautiful yet functional. We use on our dock at the cottage, on our dinner table instead of candles, around a campfire and on a dog walk after dark. Can’t really ask for more than that.
