Had baked bread a couple of times using this pan, and so far I am happy with the outcome. Compared to my previous loaf pans, this pan is much heavier in weight and after baking the bread it popped right out. (My other pans stated it was "non stick" but after many uses the breads started to stick). Hopefully after long term use, the breads will continue to pop right out the pans after baking. There was a couple of small crumbs stuck in the inside corners which was easy to remove with a pointed end of a wooden toothpick. After washing & wiping dry the pans I still let it completely air dry on the counter before storing it away.
Great quality no doubt . Will give it 4 starts. but on second thought cooking in aluminium worries me. Even though its technically baking and not cooking I would not prefer aluminium. I regret not seeing the lodge cast iron pan before buying this or else would have Bought that.
How could you not like USA pans? Once I started to use them I started to convert all my serious bakeware over to USA. I think the only thing I have left to get is the bundt pan when my present one gives up, soon I hope :) I never wash these beauties in the dishwasher, there is no need. After baking all that is normally needed is a swipe with a paper towel just 1/2 paper towel at that, to wipe the sweat out of the pan, and back it goes. I have made a few things that left crumbs in the grooves, but a little warm water and it just wipes off, air dry on the counter, easier than loading the dishwasher. I highly recommend to any of you serious bakers out there, these pans will outlast me.
This pan scratches easily, doesn’t have handles to use when it’s hot and isn’t dishwasher safe. The worst thing, however, is the water that gets in the narrow side’s wall from the fold that takes forever to dry (making several loaves is an issue because just when you think you’ve gotten the last of the water, more appears)
I’ve just missed the return window on this, unfortunately, so I’ll be donating it and purchasing a different one.
Bought this for making bread. It was sticking in my other non stick pan. This one is perfect. I grease it lightly and the bread just falls right out. Haven't tried it without greasing. It is also a little wider on the bottom, better shape for bread. I bake my bread on the lower rack and it gets nice and golden brown with the USA pan. I bought another when I saw how good this one was. Also great for banana loaf. Best loaf pan I have ever owned.
Like all USA Pans products this item performed over and above expectations. I own 6 of these as I bake a lot of bread. I lightly greased them for the first use but haven't needed to since. I wash them and dry them well, finishing the drying in the oven after I have turned it off. I do bake 6 loaves at a time usually 3 white and 3 whole wheat or multi-grain. They still look like new.
