1.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful pan but keeps releasing black metallic stain - safety concern
Reviewed in the United States on 4 April 2019
After washing it thoroughly and boiling some water in it and washing it thougrougly again, I wiped it with a paper towel and as shown in the picture it is still releasing disturbing dark metal stains. I don’t know where could it come from or how could it happen, but I don’t consider safe for use at least for the one I received.
Very light weight, of course. It consists of a single thin layer of stainless steel.
While stainless steel is not a good heat conductor, its thinness counters and makes this pan heats up at a decent speed. However on a ceramic range it does not heat evenly as I would assume better on gas range.
It is easy to clean as most stainless steel does. Nothing too drastic or bad about cleaning. But like I mentioned in my main concern, the releasing black metallic stain is a HUGE concern.
For durability it is very very well made for what it is made of and you can see the quality of the craftsmanship. However I only give 3 star for durability as it is not as durable as something wholly stainless steel with riveted SS handles and thicker.
Overall it is a beautifully designed pan and for its design it is decent. However its safety concern raised the red flag for me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
Reviewed in the United States on 11 May 2019
I usually have a lot of trust in Japanese goods as they are known for great quality. However, this product failed me. As you can see in my photo, the handle is secured with just a tiny screw. After a while, the wooden handle got burned and fell out. Thank goodness I wasn’t holding it with hot soup in it. What a safety hazard! However it was light and easy use while lasted. Just not worth the money. Too bad. I wouldn’t recommend.

1.0 out of 5 stars the handle design is flawed
Reviewed in the United States on 9 January 2019
i bought 2, 1.7 Qt and the 2.2 Qt ones. the design of the handle is no good.
the handle is a wood stick screwed to the metal casing, which is not sturdy. if the flame of the stove is able to get close to the casing, it will burn the wood inside and carbonize the wood and the screw will no long be able to hold the handle to the metal casing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for one year.
Reviewed in the United States on 7 July 2017
I like it,I use it almost every day. After a year, there were a lot of little pits where it corroded, so I think the life of the pan was a little short.I've stopped using it because I know that the corroded pot will release carcinogens.I'm considering whether to buy the same pot again or change the brand.
