The 36" version of this wall bar is perfect for showers used by kids, except that it's not up to any sort of abuse. The "feet" at either end of the bar that mount to the wall are narrow and plastic, and although it hasn't happened yet, my concern is that one inadvertent grab could twist it from the wall. I'd really really like this to have been constructed of heavier materials.

The only counter to this is to attempt to mount it into a stud, if one is so aligned, use plenty of caulk to seal up the holes, and don't let any looseness go unchecked.

The lockdown function so far is good, after a few months of use, requiring very little effort to lock or unlock. The little lever used for performing this maneuver is so tiny that it's almost impossible to ham fist it.

The absurd hose is actually quite nice -- it's easy to clean, and although it comes unnaturally bent into an inflexible 'U' out of the box, a little bit of hot water loosens it up. It is good to have about 8 inches of space between the supply elbow and the showerhead, so that the hose can bend to a natural radius.

My hopes are high that my concerns of weak mounts are unfounded; naturally, you'll read it here first if they fail. Perhaps this equipment is up to the task, or perhaps I'm succeeding in teaching our boys to have a little respect for the things they interact with.

This is a very nice looking bar. Pretty expensive - although when I bought it Amazon had a one-day hiccup and it was about 40 bucks, compared to the usual 80 or 100 or so... Lucky I guess...

The bar is stainless, but the ends are plastic. The sliding mechanism is pretty nice, but the tilt is pretty badly implemented and it feels as if you'll break it when trying to adjust the angle. Also, the supplied hose looks nice but it is fairly stiff so we changed it to the KES 59" hose - much, much better.

Our decision hinged mostly on the length - there are not a lot of 36" shower bars with a decent design out there. Talking about design - it fits perfectly with the Grohe 13274 Conceto Tub Spout and the Artos Shower Outlet Elbow , so well in fact that they seem made by the same company!

Beautiful and sleek shower bar. I was debating between getting this 36 inch version or the standard 24 inch version since my shower is new and there no existing drill holes that the bar needs to conform to. I ended up with the 36 inch one because it was so much more versatile than the shorter one in terms of the placement for the hand shower. Works perfectly with our Hansgrohe Raindance Select handshower (04528).

My husband is 6'4 and I'm 5'4, the shower bar allows the handle to extend above him and be low enough I can use as a body jet for my lower back.
There are 3 ways to adjust the placement of the hand shower: slide up/down along the bar, swivel left/right around the bar, and pivot back/forth. The only problem I have with the wallbar is the pivot back/forth joint. It seems to be very firmly held into one position and I have to pull really hard to get the pivot to adjust. Not enough to knock it a star since it doesn't really need to be adjusted that often. Overall, I highly recommend this.

I really love this Hansgrohe wall bar but especially the hose that comes with it - this is the second one I've bought. I really dislike the typical shower hose that has all of those metal rings. All kinds of stuff can build up in between them and in the cracks if you have hard water, or if shampoo or soap falls onto it and glomps into a crack between the rings. This hose is fully smooth - no rings at all. It's silicone or something and has a silver color that matches the metal of the bar and your shower head exactly. I'd put this in my previous house and when we moved I ordered it for my new shower as well because I like it so much. Very sleek, easy to keep clean, super flexible and no rings. Highly recommended!

"komplett verchromter Metallhalter" stimmt so nicht ganz, der Drehgriff ist verchromter Kunststoff. Ebenso sind die Abdeckkappen an den Enden aus Kunststoff, zum Teil nicht verchromt, sondern grau (Innenseiten). Der Schieber muss realiv fest gezogen werden, mit einem schweren Duschkopf kann er allerdings nicht von alleine rutschen. Ansonsten gewohnte Hansgrohe Qualität, sieht optisch recht edel aus. Preis/Leistung könnte besser sein.

While many shower systems include a wall bar as part of the set, our Hansgrohe showerpipe system did not, so we purchased this as an add-on. Very glad we did that! We wanted the versatility when we have to wash one of our dogs, and yeah, ultimately, we may need a shower head lower to the ground as we age and deal with limited mobility ourselves.

In order to adjust the shower head on right, you need to push very hard and it makes a loud click noise each time you move it an interval. The left side needs quite a bit of force to secure the shower head in position.
