To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Some absolutely brilliant concepts but my husband and I found the book’s style is unbearably self-serving, patronising and narcissistic that we struggled to read more than a chapter at a time. A real shame as I think there is a lot that could be learned.
The book provides some tools and insights for dealing with children but the overall layout is stories and situations with very specific causes and effects. Many of the scenarios could yield drastically different results than the desired outcome
In the original 'how to talk so kids will listen...’ the cartoons were great summaries. This one is full of rather repetitive examples, but is a bit wordy and needs some editing to bring out the headline messages more clearly. , useful.....but I would imagine the next edition could be a better buy.
This would be great if I hadn’t already read the normal version. I feel like it’s a waste to get this if you’ve already read how to talk so kids will listen.
I do like their approaches but I don’t feel like this really helps a ton with parenting a small (under 3 years) toddler. Wish they had more examples of situations that you get into with a small toddler and how to handle them.
