To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I guess you can read this book in a couple of ways; firstly as a straightforward look at how Instagram was created, it's subsequent purchase by Facebook and its growth since, along with the other players in the social media space. And secondly, as a human story of one of the co-founders of Instagram, Kevin Systrom. Not a biography as such, but the book does give some insights into how Systrom developed Instagram, his constant battles with Facebook once having been acquired, and how along with his team he managed to grow the platform to over 1 billion users. The book is a page-turner, and kept me enthralled throughout!!
This is not a review of the book. Just a warning to Indian buyers. Horrible quality of print and paper. Overall book quality is sub-standard. Doesn't even match the quality of road-side pirated copies.
This has completely dampened one's interest in reading the book.
Shame on Thomson Press India and shame on Cloudtail for even accepting a poor quality product.
Indian buyers, please refrain from ordering this book via Cloudtail/Amazon. The discount is simply not worth the pedestrian quality.
Order/Buy it from your local book store. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Ms Frier has written an absolutely brilliant book - the Instagram story simply could not have been told better. It's a fast-paced tale told with verve and based on in-depth research. I enjoyed reading this very much AND I don't even have an Instagram account 😀 Highly recommended reading for anyone interested in Silicon Valley success stories... 😊👍👍
O conteúdo é bom, mas a qualidade da impressão não é boa. A capa já chegou rasurada, não é bem colada nem bem montada. As páginas são de um papel bem ruinzinho e, para não estragar, tem que ter bastante cuidado. Não dá nem para usar marca texto, de tão finas que são as páginas... A tinta do marca texto passa pro outro lado. A qualidade da folha da capa também não é boa. Pelo preço que custou, não apresenta bom custo benefício (se considerarmos apenas o livro físico, não o conteúdo).
Packaging and quality: Pages, cover quality were up to the mark and it arrived in perfect condition. Book Content: It's a great read. You totally get captivated and can clearly imagine how things must have happened in reality. It has been thoroughly researched and written in a neutral tone. It's one of those few business books which anyone can read and digest easily while learning so much about the company that has changed our culture.
