To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I seldom write reviews but felt that I should give a "heads up" here. this is great paper if you are using it for rough copies or craft paper. But it is very thick and would never be good to print something on that you wanted to be well received - like a resume or the final draft of your first novel. I do not know that much about the "weight" of paper. If you just want something to print on, it's a great deal-maybe. It comes self-wrapped--it is not in a box or envelope... when you open the package, you have to be careful or all the papers will come flying on the floor. The wrapping is the container-so to speak.Have some place to keep it contained or you'll have sheets of paper everywhere.
Paper quality was good. 3 corners of the ream were damaged. As such, papers often get caught in printer and it's embarrassing to present papers with crinkled corners. It can't be used for important presentation which is the reason I purchased 24 lb paper instead of the normal 20 lb paper. Very disappointed.
Instead of throwing the ream in a big box, please put packaging material to protect the ream of paper.
My intention was to pay a little more to get a brighter white paper. It was actually dimmer than the much cheaper paper I had been using. Also, I was disappointed that the ream came in a box (too large for the ream) with a deflated packaging air bag, which explained the crumpled corners on a good portion of the ream. The best thing about this paper was its weight.
