Parents wishing to surreptitiously help their children with numbers should go for this. I never stress the education side to her or she will shy away from it - but for those times when (artificially managed) I have a spare 15 mins just before bedtime and I then suggest we have time for this game - it goes down very well and it's great to see her excited as she does the adding/subtracting. She is 6 and it still is very useful for her - though wish I'd bought it when she was 5.
Bought this for my little four year old as he is currently into doing sums but I think this was a bit advanced for him. The colours and pictures are lovely but I think the rules of the game itself are a bit complicated for a four year old, what with all the jumps and loops etc. The idea is a fantastic concept but I think I may need to keep it for a little later on,
Great game, my son really enjoys simple maths challenges and this games fulfils that need to make it fun. There is an 'endless loop' which he finds hilarious because normally one of us parents gets trapped in it while he wins the game. Cute little moving pieces and good colourful board design. I would look to buy another game from this range.
A short but entertaining game to play with children aged about 4 -7. Very quick to learn. Involves practicing addition, subtraction, odd and even numbers. The child has as much chance of winning as the adult which makes it fun.
Brilliant way to get youngsters using Maths without them feeling like it's a lesson or boring. The Endless Loop thing in the game can be exactly that, ENDLESS. I'd advise some flexible rules so you're not stuck indefinitely; ours is two loops then a hop out!
This was a great buy for our four year old and gave some family fun time whilst they learnt basic Maths.
Havnt opened the game so cant review it .. it looks fine and is a gift for grandson tomorrow on his birthday. However it arrived with huge postal label stuck onto the cellophane on front of box... which i cannot remove without leaving half of it .. so disappointing. DO NOT buy this if it is to be given as a gift. So often amazon over package but this is totally the opposite and even more annoying!
Really good simple game that got a lot of attention for a few days at Xmas but think it was a bit too easy for my 4 nearly 5yo as he seemed to get bored of it quickly. Would suggest maybe for a child turning 4 and starting to understand their numbers and how to do sums. Once they get to school these sums become a bit easy, almost need an upgraded version with a bigger board and a times and divided by dice.
This has to be one of the best educational games we've ever had! It helped my maths-phobic son (aged 6) realise that he could do maths - after a knock in his confidence at school ... It's easy to learn - simple to play : and there was something incredibly motivating for a child in terms of wanting to win the game, which really helped his maths skills to improve!!
My 4 year old grandson loves loves loves this game. It’s quick and fun and it’s really helped him add and subtract. He now remembers by heart a lot of the digits... ie 3+4 = 7 without doing it on his fingers. This is because we have played it soooo much! Highly recommended.
