It was a disappointing to receive a pan that is not in good condition even before it’s used. The coating was chipped off and looks rusted. Giving this brand another chance by asking for a replacement set . Hope it doesn’t disappoint me again
This is review is four star, because of delivery issues. There's nothing wrong with the product. It's a gift for my mother. She was very disappointed to receive a damaged product - the handle of the lid was broken. She was even more sad to return it. At first she resigned herself to let it go. Later however, she decided to keep it because the damage was outside the pan and it could still be used (see the pictures). Her advice is to avoid this seller. She's really looking forward to cooking and baking in it. She has a 3.5" Lodge pan already and she swears by it for making eggs sunny side up.
So if you're buying lodge cast iron, you already know that its a fantastic product and there is nothing to add here. My review is about the packaging, which wasn't up to scratch.
The two pans come in a heavy duty carboard box, which is necessary because of the weight. The only thing separating the pans however is a piece of paper, which doesn't completely stop the pans rubbing together in transit. When I opened my box, I found the pre-seasoning had chipped off in two places. Not the end of the world as its easy to re-season, but not what you'd expect from Lodge.
Sehr gute Qualität, hält ewig. Ein Problem gibt es bei Induktion. Das Logo hätte nicht am Boden getanzt sein dürfen weil es mit der Zeit auf der Glasplatte durch die unterschiedliche hitzeverteulung zu einem Abdruck kommt und auf der glaskeramik nun das Logo eingebrannt ist.... ansonsten hätte ich mir den Durchmesser größer gewünscht, gabs leider nicht bei diesem set. Ansonsten pizza gemacht in der Pfanne um Ofen, geht gut und auch alles andere. Ich schätze die wirklich gute Wärmeverteilung, schön gleichmäßig. Kanns empfehlen für einen 2 Personenhaushalt. Für 5 Personen wär wie gesagt größte besser
These are good. Take care of them and they should last for life.
On the downside, unlike lodge pans you can inspect and buy at the store, these ones appear to be 'seconds'. There are issues with the finish.... some pitting, some small but deep holes, some of the 'pre-seasoning' chipped off. I did 4-5 cycles of seasoning, and they work great now and some of the pitting is not as obvious anymore. I even made crepes in one and it didn't stick.
La utilizzo principalmente per la cottura del pane, e devo dire che è fenomenale. Il primo trattamento con l'olio è semplicissimo. Ovviamente è un po' pesante ma è da tenere in conto se si vuole usare questo tipo di pentole di ghisa. Consigliato non solo per il pane ma anche per altri alimenti.
