I loved these loaf pans and have been using them often, carefully hand-washing and drying after each use. All was well until my oven began to smoke. At the folded corners, the pans leak the butter or oil I use for greasing, or any juices from fruit in a batter. I grease lightly, and, per manufacturer's instructions, do not use baking spray, but now can only bake with my pans after making careful preparations with foil or parchment paper. This is terribly disappointing. If I purchase from this brand in future, I will avoid all pans with folded corners.
I was excited to receive this because it was actually made in the USA. However, after reading other reviews, I must agree that having seams inside of the pan caused water to pool behind the seams and get rusty. No matter how quickly I dried the pan after washing, it continued to seep water from the seams. I decided it wasn’t worth it so I returned it and got a different seamless version from the same company.
I loved everything about this pan the first time I used it. Heavy, naturally nonstick, perfect size. That feeling lasted until I took it out of the cabinet to use it for the second time a few weeks later. The construction created folds, and there is no way to avoid water being retained in those folds and then reappearing as rusty, dirty spots in all of the corners.
Looks like a major design flaw. Ruins an otherwise excellent tool.
Really looking forward to this, but not sure if we even received the correct product. Looking at the photos in the product description as well as some of the reviews, this has a white exterior and cream colored glazed interior. The product we received is white only, has scuff marks on the top, and glaze missing in parts, similar to what is noted by other reviewers.
I loved the pans when I received almost two years ago, but all my made in USA pan bakeware is showing wear and the non-stick surface is coming off. The corners of some bakeware is folded and water drips out after you dry the pan. I thought they were stainless steel but not possible using the pans. I am replacing every piece of bakeware with stainless steel pans because of the health hazard from eating non-stick coating. Disappointed but glad I saw the coating coming off some of the pans. Do not buy!
This pan does a good job of baking bread and feels sturdily made. However, I've found it difficult to clean especially after quick breads (like banana bread). Food crumbs tend to get stuck under the inner folds, where they can't be accessed for cleaning.
The biggest issue, though, has been that the non-stick coating started to flake in a few places after only a couple of weeks of use.
Just bought this pan recently and have used it only a few times, and it's rusting inside the crevices where you can't reach to dry, which then drips out. Not sure it's safe to use. Would be a great pan if it didn't rust.
I rarely write reviews but I feel I must express my disappointment in this product from USA Pan. I own several of their products and like them but I decided to give up on this loaf pan because it is almost impossible to clean thoroughly. I should not have to use toothpicks to get crumbs and residue form the corners because they are not completely joined together.
I have been very happy with the results from using this pan to bake, but today I ordered a pan from another company.
