I really don’t like the fact that it is all plastic. I would not have bought it had I realized how cheap and tacky is this shower head. Waterpik used to be a good brand....not anymore! As to the installation: you must use plumbers tape on ALL joints. Even though the direction state clearly not to use it. It leaks like mad if you don’t. You cannot hand tighten it enough to make a seal without it. Also, you need to use a crescent wrench to tighten all nuts, outherwise it leaks. Use a cloth between the wrench head and the nut because it, the shower head is plastic , it will mark and scratch like mad. This is a truly crummy product. I did installed this without leaking or sctaching but you must be very careful how you install this. Not for the inexperienced. And it’s such a cheap product hiring a professional to install would be a waste of money. I will buy a metal, chrome head and hose at the hardware store when this cheap piece of junk gives out.
It is very flimsy. I know it shouldnt be too thick or it won't serve its purpose. I also am not an expert on production of this tape, BUT i do know that for a little more money we could have a brand i trust to not wrap around itself and tear like tracing paper. I only bought this because a customer of mine had it in their cart for supplies they were paying for for me to use.
I thought this would be sticky like tape because it’s called sealant tape. I was wrong and the description is misleading. I needed sealant tape for a small section of my camper roof and thought this would work. There is no adhesive on this.
For my uses the tape was not too helpful. In order to keep the pivot on my folding knives from coming loose I tried using some of the tape to help tighten up the threading between the screw and female pivot end. Since the tape is so wide compared to the small screws it was difficult to wrap the tape around the screw without using too much of it. I was able to use it on two different pivots successfully. If the tape wasn't as wide it might work out better for my applications. If you use this with a longer screw it should work fine.
I purchased this to stretch my ears further and it was wholly unsuccessful. I know that's not the purpose it's intended for initially but that was my experience with it. I'm sure for its other uses it works fine
