I like the frying pan, but unfortunately did not notice that there was a dent in the rim and the lid does not fit properly. Since I had already used it, I could not return it, but for the amount of money paid, it should not have had this imperfection.
This pan heats evenly and quickly, and is easy to clean. I've only had it for about 6 weeks so I can't comment on its longevity. However it has an annoying problem, that seems to be a design flaw: when sautéing, the oil all pools around the outside edge. It's as though there is a very slight convex shape to the bottom, which I've never seen in any other pan I've owned.
It's not a big problem, unless I'm frying just a few items in a bit of oil, then I have to bunch them around the outside edge or else they don't have any oil under them. Really unusual.
All non-stick pans are more-or-less non-stick. Everything depends on what you're cooking and at what temperature. The "vanishing" heat signs are useless. If you heat the pan up that much and try to fry an egg without oil, it will burn instantly. Use your head & your experience. As a non-stick, this one isn't worth the money. Some of the cheaper ones are just as good. Don't be sucked in by "titanium" claims. That's a component of the non-stick coating, which isn't more than microns thick in any case. It's not titanium; it's coated aluminum, like all the others.
This would have garnered a 5-star review if the description and claims were accurate. Cooks beautifully, cleans effortlessly, ergonomic… BUT! • The highly touted Techno-resist non-warping base tech does NOT work and oil or food will flow to the perimeter leaving the center dry. I bought this unit specifically because I was unhappy with a previous T-Fal frypan that totally domed up in the center. This is slightly, if at all, better but not nearly the fix T-Fal claims. • The metal rim around the glass lid is so thin that a dent will result with even the lightest ding. That said, the riveted handle, silicone touch surfaces and overall quality are high.
The first time I ordered one of these, it was perfect. My GF was on Noom and I decided to cook oil-free. This pan worked for that for 6 months. (She lost 40 lbs during Covid.) The bottom was perfectly flat and the heat distribution very even. I gradually started upping cooking temps until it the pan formed a dome, making it essentially useless. The replacement I ordered was not flat, but I used it for a while until I got sick of it and then I ordered another, which was also domed right out of the box. There is no point in a stick free pan which is not flat. Since this is the 2nd one from them that came that way, I'm going to return it and look for another brand.
Received it today and tried pancakes. 1)The first thing I noticed is that the bottom is not flat and the center is higher than the edge, so the oil cannot cover the bottom evenly. 2)It is not stick, for sure. 3) it is 12 inches and 2 inches high.
Was really hoping this fry pan would be all that it claimed, but it is disappointing. Cooks with ease, and clean up is a breeze - will give it that. However, in the user manual it states that this pan is metal safe - most metal utensils may be used. Being cautious, I have only used plastic, until last night. The plastic spatula was in use, and I needed to flip a quesadilla, grabbed a metal spatula ... pan scratched!! Also, it does not sit flat on the burner, so any liquid or oil runs off to the edge, leaving the food high and dry. Since I don't cook with oil, and like to de-glaze and brown my food with a bit of water, it doesn't work to have it run off.
