These candles are great. The reviewers who complained that the wick fell out, that problem can be avoided by not trying to straighten the wick before you've placed the candle in the votive holder (which is our natural instinct). The wick comes laying flat on the candle. Just place it in the holder, THEN pull up the wick to light it - voila! The burn time is just as advertised: 10 hours. Love the price also!
I was a bit worried after reading negative reviews about loose wicks and low burn time, but decided to try them anyway since they are just what I need and the price is so good. I needn't have worried. Yes, some wicks are loose, but when I put my trial candle in a glass votive holder, the loose wick stayed in place in the candle. I have been burning it for 7 and a half hours and it's still lit, which well exceeds the needed time frame for my daughter's wedding. I was concerned when the wax melted completely into the shape of the votive holder within the first 2 hours, but then it just kept burning in the puddle of melted wax. It is burning clean and doesn't have any odor.
I used these in some Advent Candle Holders which I built, and they burned extremely cleanly. Even when snuffing them out, there was virtually no smoke. These liquified beautifully in the votive candle holders I used, so they burned very well, consuming ALL the wax. This meant I didn't waste any wax around the edges where the heat might have been lower. I really like that I got full value from these candles, even if they were a bit shorter in height than I expected.
I love these candles! They were the size I needed for the glass holders I have, but most importantly, the length of time they burn is great! I use these for my faux fireplace, and prior to finding them, I was using the small tea light candles that only last an hour or so.. talk about a downer when ur trying to enjoy a nice candlelit evening. These beauties, on the other hand, don’t disappoint! I lit them all at 6p; it’s currently 2:24a, n they’re still going strong!
Love these White Votive Candles. I will be using for my 6 oz mason jars. In this photo, from left to right, I have a tea cup laying down which I use as a tester with the remaining of what is left after I lit up the candle. The candle was on for 11 hours with more to go as seen in the tea cup. The candle has no smell. Next is a 6 oz mason jar, after that is a 24 oz mason, followed by a 12 oz mason jar and the last one is the tea cup sitting up. I don't know exactly how big is the tea cup but I will assume that it's about 2 oz. Hope this helps. Oh and shipment was super fast to N.J.
I have to say I was nervous ordering these for my daughter‘s upcoming wedding based on previous reviews. I will say the wick does fall out if you’re not careful however I trimmed it and placed it in a votive candle holder and then proceeded to burn to see how long it would last. Candle burn consecutively for 9 1/2 hours. I think people see the candle melting and assume it’s not gonna continue to burn however it does melt within the first couple hours but the wet continue to burn. I recommend this product I would suggest this for a wedding reception.
These candles do the job. What I really like is that they have no dripping. They burn a good amount of time and they’re easy to pick off the tray when they’re done and set a new one in its place. I see that unfortunately, they do not have red in stock now
