Version 2 Sucks.

We've bought three of these now. Apparently they are sending out "Version 2", which is clearly cheap and inferior.

V1: dual articulate arms
V2: some swivel hinge thing

V1: Thick, robust metal and hinges with plastic covers
V2: Cheap welded steal, painted black, looks like scrap metal

Seriously, version 2 is total garbage, and they're just riding off the reputation from Version 1. I feel like they should have to make a new category to reflect this obviously cheaper, low quality, maximum profit version 2. If you could see it in real life next to their own Version 1, you would not buy this cheap welded scrap.

Basic Monitor Mount

I purchased this monitor mount recently for work as I have a small (width wise) desk. So I decided to purchase for myself a computer arm to free up some space.

It did free up some space. Installing it was a nightmare at first because my desk is about an inch away from a wall but once we figured out how to install it with this obstacle, it was fine. My issues with this product is as follows:

1. the right monitor is lopsided. No matter how hard I try to adjust it, the right monitor is just too loose on the bracket and therefore is extremely lopsided.

2. These are not made of gas springs so in order to position or move the monitors is a pain and is very difficult.

3. Because I have two 24" inch monitors, I could not position them properly in order to ergonomic - meaning I could not position them so that my head is not constantly shifting from left to right.

4. The biggest problem of them all is that the stand itself is WAY TOO SHORT. I am 5"8 and I have it set to the highest possible and it is still way too short for me. I find myself constantly hunching my neck down in order to be comfortable. I was getting bad neck pain from doing this.

For all the above reasons, I gave this a 1 star. For the price you do get a very basic computer arm. So if you are looking for just that, than this product is for you.

received the item couple weeks late,
when I received the items it was in poor condition with scraps and chips all over the product, and missing screws.
The sturdiness is okay. I have had better, assembly was okay.. could've been better. The arm movement is the worst thing in the history of this earth.
Will not be ordering from company again, wish there was a way to return it, but since covid 19 there is no option.

I would reconsider this product if you are looking at it, or take a chance. My chance was the short end of the straw and I think I got the worst one in the batch, but at least I tried. Waste of money IMO. Find something better.

Not reliable - Clamp broke after 4 months, mount is now unusable

For the first 3.5 months of using this mount, it was an easy 4-star mount. It was a little bit janky, but generally functioned really well - especially for the price. I set it up on my table and left it alone for a few months.

Fast-forward to today (4 months after purchase, 1 month late for product support) - and I was cleaning under the table and noticed a broken piece of plastic on the ground. I had no idea what it came from, until I looked up at the clamp and saw that the handle had completely snapped open (see attached pictures), meaning I can no longer do periodic tightening of the clamp if it starts to slip.

This mount has been attached for 4 months and untouched after initial assembly, so the damage wasn't caused by me. The only thing I can think of that might cause the damage is if it snapped due to thermal stress, but the room is pretty well climate-controlled, with only 2-3 degrees of variance between the summer to winter.

Anyways, completely useless - I would not buy this again.

What a waste of time. Was able to assemble everything else but once it got to the arms, total hell. Tried adjusting the arms but it was soo stiff that I had to put my weight on it just to make one of them budge. I even tried to loosen the bolts for each joint but they just won't budge since I feel like they welded the ends into the joint. Now I'm stuck with one arm not usable at all and a useless desk mount. Complete waste of time trying to build this. Poor manufacturing and quality control I guess. The black paint was easily scrape-able as just trying to build it, the paint came off.

I was at least expecting a functional product. Unfortunately the left monitor kept tilting downward under its own weight. Both monitors were identical by the way. Another disappointing thing is this product is just meant as a mount and not as a monitor arm. Don't expect to move your screens around because it is not easy. when you are installing this, you have to tighten a screw so tight that the monitor's weight would not bring it down( both tilt and height) so don't expect to or move your screen around. You set it up and you will leave it like that. So not a lot of freedom.

I should have invested more money in a better stand.

I have two monitors that are the exact same type, but when I assembled the product and put the monitors on, they were very uneven. There was no way to adjust the arms so that the two screens were level. Additionally, my two 27 inch screens had VERY LIMITED TO NO room to move because the arms were too short for them. The product is advertised as being able to support screens up till 27 inches - this is not the case and seems like false advertising.

I can't even return the product because the return policy window was only one month and I wasn't able to get my two monitors within that timeframe. Now the stand is just sitting in the corner of my room collecting dust and I feel like it was a waste of my money.

I was looking for a shallow profile monitor arm so I don't have to lose as much of my desk depth. If I don't use the maximum supportable monitor size (27"), I either have to leave a gap in between the 2 monitors, or pull them forward which makes me lose too much of my desk depth. I have to admit, this is a cheap dual monitor arm though.

Laughably bad. Pay attention to the 1 star reviews too, not just the 5 star. Quality control is awful. The arms are ridiculously stiff. The right arm on mine was so stiff that I had to use my full body weight just to get it to move. Sounds ridiculous, that's because it is. Perhaps it was from a bad batch, but it's being returned and I'll look for a different product. I couldn't even loosen the right arm without stripping the nut. Stay away from this one.

I do not write reviews to products but perhaps it is time. It was very easy to install and attach to desk using the grommet method. The problem is when attempting to attach a 24 inch 10 pound monitor. Let me note that the recommended maximum weight is 22 lbs per monitor. It does not stay in the required position but constantly tilts forward. There are only a handful of reviewers with my issue so it is the minority. Now i have to make the decision of dismounting it and returning it to amazon. #Underwhelmed
