Not worth your money. Great for general office use for a large desk if you wish to have fixed dual monitors side by side and strain your neck. However, if you have a desk like mine (120cm by 60cm) and wish to have one 24.5 inch monitor in front of you and another set to the side for ergonomics, it simply won't do, the arms are too short to allow that sort of adjustment.
Additionally, account for the fact that you have to create around 15cm of space for the mount if your desk is up against a wall and wish to adjust the arms, this stand will cause you to lose a lot of open desk space once installed. Moreover, if you wish to adjust it often as well, the pole grips will slide down and will result in further adjustments.
I recommend others get the pneumatic arm if you wish to move around a lot and want greater flexibility or the longer arms for better extension if you wish to have one monitor set in front of you and the other off to the side. If i could get it exchanged for the pneumatic arm or another VIVO set, I definitely would.
Read the reviews and everyone said it was so great. Description said it can hold 22 pounds per side. My monitors are a little older but not THAT old or heavy at all. I installed it pretty easy. Little confusing but did okay myself for 12am installing this. I hand my 27” monitor and the thing immediately falls forward. read booklet for it to say “just tighten the bolts!”.. so I tried. For 10 minutes. Every bolt possible, 7x each time. I couldn’t even loosen the bolts or tighten them. It says tighten bolts for height and rotation.. so now I’m left with an installed mount that won’t hold my monitors.. kinda sad
I ended up returning this product because it was hard to line up the monitors. For whatever reason, one arm always sagged regardless of the angles I put each piece in. It was frustrating that one monitor was always higher than the other even when placed side to side.
Pros: - cable management system was really good - easy to put together
Cons: - too many moving parts - very stiff even when loosened - bar has to remain in the middle (causing the monitors to stick out too much)
It seems pretty sturdy but probably not sturdy enough for touchscreens. If the VESA connection points of your monitors are not at the same height DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT unless you are prepared to buy/manufacture an adaptor plate. I assumed that my two Samsung Curved screens were identical (very similar screen side but very different vertical VESA connection locations) I really didn't compare them beforehand. Otherwise some of the other comments about this being wobbly, crooked etc. are not true. All of the joints are adjustable and can be tightened except for the VESA swivel which is already very stiff. Two stars because I had to make an adaptor plate.
This product serves it's purpose but it was awful to set up. It comes with a rubbery bit on the inside of the vice that secures your desk, and if you try to slide it over the desk while you are looking for the best spot to put it, be very careful because the rubber bit doesn't work and there is something in the mount's vice that scratched the crap out of my desk. Very disappointing. Also it's range of motion is terrible and it's hard to adjust either monitor. It's similar to hanging a picture if you are trying to adjust it.
I set up the monitor the best I could with the limitations on the arm mounts. The pole seems too short, as I had to go to the absolute top. I didn't touch the mount or monitors for months, and it worked fine.
As soon as the arms needed to be adjusted, the main pole clamp must have loosen over time, because it slid down like it was barely holding on. If I wasn't holding my monitors, they would have smashed into my desk. The arms use a system of Allen keys (hex keys) to tighten/loosen. You better save them somewhere and retighten the screws every once in a while.
I wouldn't recommend them. There are plenty of other systems for similar price that work better and offer better features/support.
After only a week of using it. With 21inch monitors. Which are pretty light. The right arm has major sag. And now my screens are uneven. Super frustrating. And tightening the elbow doesn’t work. It holds the screen and all. But if you’re a neat freak like me it’ll bug you that your screens aren’t leveled.
I bought specific monitors to use with this stand because of their weight. While setting up and sometimes while adjusting the monitor position, the monitor arms would just "give out" and let the monitors fall flat. Mind you, this is after I've made sure to have everything as tight as it could be. Thankfully none of my monitors have been damaged despite the frequent falls from this product, but I wouldn't be surprised if this happened to anyone else. Because of this, it takes forever to even slightly change the position of my monitors.
The mount itself is pretty sturdy and easy to assemble. I was pretty excited because I have a smaller desk area and wanted this product to free up some space. Unfortunately, this mount won't work unless you have the same type of monitors or 2 monitors with mounts in the same place. Also, the side to side motion of the arms is not that great in my opinion. Maybe this works better for smaller monitors.
Just bought it. At first glance it looks solid and impressive, have a paper documentation, but.... I have 2 27" BenQ monitors. After I have attached the monitors I figured out that they would not sit flush beside each other. It turns out one arm was lower than the other. Also, it was no possible to adjust them in desired tilt. Though, it has a label 'the best seller number 1', I would say 'quantity over quality'.
