I have a five or six pair of heavy steel toe construction boots that I've been digging WW1 trenches with, so have war mud baked up my legs. Thick heavy clay and loamy swamp algae filled brackish muck. Sewage, septic tank cleaning on weekends. These boots weigh more than ten pounds with all the layers of that grime and effluent, dirt, mud and gravel dried on a few inches thick by the end of the day. add to that the foot sweat soaked into the leather. Sometimes I'm knee deep in heavy motor oil, and boy you take off a boot and have a quart of crude oil pour out on the bedroom floor, that gets the wife frowning. I also, play rugby on the weekends, and golf, so have more than enough steel cleated shoes, I really sharpen the cleats good. I also have waders like the trout fisherman have when they stand in the middle of a stream up to their waist. I've got those and all covered in fish blood and fish scales. Then the kids will be playing out in the glass strewn vacant lot next door and run inside because they slid with both feet across fresh dog poop, and I just tell them, Kids put those shoes straight into the shoe storage thing. My wife also does that underwater diving and salvage tuff with the big round brass helmet? She has those heavy lead boots to keep her underwater. Solid lead. So I picked this up, In didn't think ti would hold up. I was also expecting they didn't use tiny baby shoes in the photos. And that it wasn't made out of hospital gown material. And I tell ya, it's been 20 or 30 minutes and this still looks brand new. I don't mean new'ish', it looks brand new. Its amazing.
Ripped the first time I put clothes in, along the seam where the zipper attaches to the fabric. After that they bags have only been moved to clean under the bed; they haven't even been opened. Today I opened one for the first time in several years, and just in unzipping it tore along the zipper seam once more. Don't even try to use the "handles" if you have anything at all in the bag; they will tear right off. Absolutely useless. I have under-bed storage bags from other companies that are much sturdier and don't fall apart as soon as you look at them. Don't waste your money on this product.
I ordered two of these for a guest bedroom and visiting family I expect next week. As you can see from the picture included, only one size seven tennis shoe fits in each cubicle. Maybe a pair of small children's shoes might fit together. There is no cardboard support for the metal hooks. To add insult to injury, the fabric is the thin stuff used for "green" shopping bags which breaks down into flakes after a year or so. These are priced cheaply because they are cheaply made. As soon as my family leaves, these are going in the trash. I am then going to order the tough canvas ones even if they cost twice as much. These are junk.
