It gets the job done nicely cost considered.. I always go with heavier than std weight as I actually think you can get a similarly clean print with less ink than lighter weight paper.. The last ream I got was also 24lb but HP .. At the time the price was competitive.. the HP was clearly brighter and more solid against the light.. . but NOW the cost is nearly double so that considered.. this is quite nice $$ taken into account.. Either are miles above any std weight paper.
Arrived (I thought) in good condition, but upon opening the package, found that (it looks like) the top end of the paper stack had something fall on or strike it. The top edges of most of the paper look slightly yellowish (left in direct sunlight maybe?) and slightly "rough"/scraped, and about 30 of the pages have crushed top edges, so they'll have to be just scratch paper, for quick notes, etc. Good price though for premium printer paper, only .01 per page, so not going to worry about it. Quality paper, recommended. Would order again.
The corners on all 500 sheets came damaged. I have purchased this in the past but didn't have any issues then. The quality of paper is great but disappointed by the damage.
Side note: I submitted a request for a refund/exhange after seeing 1/2 of the paper damaged, but I discovered the entire package was damaged after submitting the request. One part that doesn't make sense is that, the only way I can get a replacement is to ship the product back to Amazon - which I don't see the point of because the paper is goning to get damaged even further on the shipment back since I had to remove all the wrapper to check...
I used this for homeschool workbook pages and it is great quality for double sided printing. I have used this same brand in 28lb as well and both are very nice. 28 is a little heavier, naturally, and has beautiful quality, but 24 is very nice for a workbook.
I prefer a slightly better quality paper for everyday purposes and this one is a good fit. It's a nice step up from the cheaper papers that look a little dingy. Print is clear and bright and photos and graphics look decently sharp. Overall it's a solid offering for a good everyday paper at a reasonable price.
was amazed that this paper's quality isn't terrible even though it is priced very low. i highly recommend this if you are looking for papers just to print out regular documents or school homeworks etc.
We usually buy our paper elsewhere (i.e. also Hammermill, HP, Rolland etc.) Bought these at Amazon when on sale, and it was a great value. Note this is premium paper i.e. 24lb, brighter, and printouts simply look better than when compared to regular paper! Great buy when on sale.
I was using the 22lb version from Hammermill, which I liked already. This 5 ream case was on sale for slightly heavier 24lb and I like it even better. Great for printing, writing/drawing on, etc. I much prefer the oldschool quality feel over the mass produced 20lb flimsy versions.
Nice weight and brightness but gloss is greater than expected. When used with laser printer their are background ink smudges that make the document unsuitable for formal or presentation documents. Have used lighter and less glossy Hammermill paper many times in past but was dissapointed with this product. Have not tried with inkjet yet so can't comment on how well that works. I'm not sure what I will do with the rest of the package.
