To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The first one of these we had lasted for about four years, which was awesome. Then the suction cup would no longer hold tight to the wall. No complaints after four years of service. I bought a second one and within a couple days, it would fall of every single night. I placed the holder on different locations of the shower wall and it just didn't make a difference. It kept falling off and I was worried the shower sprayer would be damaged. The last time I tried to use the holder, it fell off in 10-15 minutes during the day. The heck with it. No more. The cup did not appear damaged or warped either.
Purchase this based on all the good reviews but it was a total disappointment. Ordered the regular one without the adjustable holder as I only wanted something simple to hold the hand shower without having to drill holes on my new tiles. This thing is pretty heavy and bulky but at first I thought that's good because it's probably good quality. Followed the instruction, cleaned the tile surface waited for it to be completely dry and put this on. I didn't use the 3M sticker because my tile is the most standard smooth white tile so it should work perfect, right? NOT! It worked for only about a week before it dropped to the shower floor and made a loud sound that scared me and my family. Luckily it was day time and the tile on the shower floor didn't break.
It was very secure when I first put it on and I was about to write a great review for it. But I thought I would wait a little longer and am glad I did. After that, I tried to put it back on. I cleaned it and the tile again, waited for them to dry but the suction cup seemed to no longer work cause it wouldn't even stay up for 30 minutes. If anyone is wondering, no it's not because my handheld shower was too heavy. Why? because the whole I didn't even put any handheld shower head in it! I was actually still shopping for a handheld shower head so the whole time there was just the hose hanging on it!
I threw this piece of junk away and order this item instead https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0765NP48M/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s06?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and so far it's been over six months with the shower head in it and still holding strong. I'll write a separate review for this product.
Stuck the included disk for suctioning to on the tile. It held great. I thought... from the jump, the suctioning cup seemed to hold well, but I would constantly wake up to the sound of it falling in my bathroom always in the middle of the night of course. The shower head I had it holding was very cheap and light. So, I started leaving it off when not in use, but then it quit holding it through even a shower session. I checked for holes, rips, tear. Nothing. After a month with dealing with this thing, I finally just super glued the suction cup to the included disk that was stuck to the tile. That worked great for about 3 weeks. Now, the disk has detached from the tile. I’m not super glueing the item to my tile. This thing was a nuisance front when start and now it’s trash. Waste of money for me. If you’re using it short term for a baby bath in a metal or acrylic type flat tub wall, I could see that being useful. I needed it for our walk in tub that has a sprayer but now holder to take a hands free shower. The tile is lightly contoured so I needed to use the included suction disk. I do feel the super glue was not compatible with the suction material and disk and eventually ate away at it but either way I’m giving it 1 star because I couldn’t use it and now it’s trash. Waste of money for me. Good luck
This does not work well at all. It falls constantly without warning. It has hit me in the head while I was showering, fallen in the middle of the night and scared me half to death, and just over all does not work at all.
I had one of these before and it was *great*. It broke after 4 years so I got another. This time the neck of the holder is smaller & I can barely make the showerhead fit & it WILL NOT STAY UP. It falls down every single shower & every single night. Absolutely useless, do not waste your money.
This thing does not suction to our shower wall because it has a slight bumpy texture. Easy I figured, I’ll use the sticky adhesive circle they gave us. Well, the sticky circle doesn’t stick to the wall either, or even a flat wall I tested it on. Beyond that the suction on the main holder doesn’t suction to a flat surface either. I even tried it on the glass shower wall, no suction. Missed the return window, super bummed.
This didn't last a day. I applied it to the wall in the afternoon and that night when I took a shower it came off. Even with the sticky piece they provided, it would not stay attached to the tiled shower wall. I definitely do not recommend this.
