To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Envelopes are not the most exciting thing to review but I have to say tbese are really nice envelopes. I like the adhesive strip on them. There is a tab that needs to be pulled off to expose the adhesive. That way you don't have to lick the envelope. The thickness of the paper is nice and you cannot see through it to what's inside. These envelopes are good for business documents as well as other types of letters. These are good quality envelopes.
So as expected the envelopes are as is. I choose these for the price point and so that I do not have to lick every letter leaving my office. It's not 1980 anymore...
With that said here's what you get! -Everything they advertise. -Envelope is not super dense -So if you are mailing a check put two pieces of the paper in with it. One in the back and one in the front. That should work fine. If you are mailing basic mail or copied contracts in my case this is great. The biggest thing is unless you have 3 or 4 more pages in here then you might see info inside if held to a light. So, pay more and get a dense envelope if this is an issue. It's that simple.
Sorry, I hate when we (buyers) cheap things then expect the same quality. You don't buy Kia and expect a Bently or a Lincoln for that matter. You paid for less you get less. At the end of the day, it seals like advertised, is correct in length, and it has the film to provide some security, but it's for docs like words not bold printed numbers on thin sheets of paper....thats all. Hope this helps!
Performs as well as you could want, but you won't find any disappointment or wow factor. I gave it top rating for sheerness though, because I does a good job of not allowing light (therefore images) to filter through.
Been looking at self seal envelopes for a few years. Basic amazon or staples envelopes had sub quality adhesive. My test is to seal, wait about 10 minutes and lift off the flap. Cheaper envelope flaps would lift off. This one lifted as well but it was paper separation and the flap teared here and there. Not easy or clean lift. Acceptable for my uses. Also buying just 100 since I don't know when these adhesives dry out. Funny that same brand 500 pack I bought and returned had sub quality adhesive as well as 1/4" wide adhesive strip. This 100 pack has 3/8" wide adhesive. Paper also feels a bit heavier than basic staples envelopes.
I purchased these envelopes to send out a mailing for our subdivision. I wanted something quick and easy to seal and these fit that criteria. However, the material the envelopes are made of, make them a little flimsy, in my opinion. It wasn't the normal feel of other envelopes, so I was a little disappointed as they felt "cheap." But with that said, they functioned well and made it through the postal mail with no issues.
Like some reviewers have already said, If you hold it up to a bright light you can see right through it. At the end of the day, it may not be top-of-the-line but it's good enough for simple mailing like a low value money order or a letter. Personally I honestly bought it for the self-sealing. In the future, however, if I do need better security I'll just put black paper on each side
Excellent envelopes, though I wish they were available in a lighter weight. This is especially important for international mail, where the price for mailing multiple sheets goes up quickly based on weight. Not to mention, it would result in fewer trees being cut down.
