WARNING: This product does not contain Sunflower Lecithin. Micro Ingredients needs to be investigated for fraud. This powder does not taste or look like real Sunflower Lecithin at all. It tastes like ground rancid sunflower seeds, mixed with some chalky artificial tasting powder. It tastes horrible. Real sunflower lecithin has a pleasant taste. Just purchase sunflower lecithin from a reputable company and compare it yourself. Don’t be fooled by their misleading fraudulent advertising.
I have added this to my diet in my quest for staying/getting healthier. At 65 I have really started to take my health seriously. I have kicked the sugar/refined carb. habit, dropped 20 lbs. and am feeling great. I have added this to my supplement intake for the liver, cholesterol and many other benefits. Trying to heal my non-alcoholic fatty liver which is said to be very prevalent in a large percentage of Americans today. By adding more green leafy and cruciferous vegetables to my diet. It is indeed an interesting process.
Bought this for it's liver fat cleansing properties, hopefully it is doing that ...but two tangible effects I have experienced has been a lowering of my blood pressure and my joints aren't hurting as much. So while I can only hope it's helping with my liver, I have reordered this 3 times now because of those other 2 effects. I use 4 scoops in a cup of yogurt after dinner every day, it makes the yogurt very creamy...and gives it a nutty flavor. I recommend this highly .
This is the only organic, cold-press lecithin I found throughout my search. I love that it is sunflower lecithin, and that it is in powder-form, making it easy to store and easy to measure. Soy is terrible for you and difficult to know how it was grown, and it is hard to find a good lecithin that wasn't made with soy. So, I was overjoyed to find this to use in my baking projects. Keep doing what you're doing. Thank you for providing this product. I will definitely be buying again.
I rarely submit reviews but I felt compelled to share my experience about this product. In the photo, you can see 6 jars filled with various powders for smoothies. I ran out of my bag of this product, having only enough for 3 jars. That product can be seen in the 3 jars on the right, closest to the bag. I opened the new bag I purchased on Amazon this month and added it to the remaining 3 jars, pictured on the left, farthest away from the bag. I was immediately struck by the stark difference between the two bags of supposedly the same product. I’ve use a different brand of sunflower lecithin before and know what it should look like. Tawny yellow in color, micro clumps, with a slightly oily or sticky texture, making it difficult to pour from the bag. This new bag is completely different. This product is light brown, chalky, easily pourable with fine particles aerosolizing, very dry and it appears to be two tone in color, like whole grain brown rice that has been coarsely milled. Clearly, the bags are the same but the products inside are not. I’m going to contact the company to discuss my findings. After that, I may request a refund from Amazon. Something just isn’t right. I looks like they put the remains of the sunflower in the bag after the lecithin was extracted. This would account for the dryness and texture, etc.
I make a DIY liposomal Vitamin C and am supposed to use organic food whenever possible to eliminate toxins. I have been taking 15 grams a day of Vitamin C for four years and this is the first organic sunflower lecithin I have found. The flavor is better than the previous non organic lecithins I have been using and being organic - it is what the ND doctor recommends. The price is a little higher but I know it is better for me. Liposomal Vitamin C is one of my protocols to control prostate cancer which has been successful for over four years (my MD recommended 45 days of radiation which I refused). The Budwig Diet is my other protocol.
I purchased it because my primary health advisor told me to use it to promote improved memory. So I bought it! I add it to my daily smoothie. It helps give substance to the other liquids I use. I guess it works. At least I remember why I purchased it! (smile)
Great product! The shopping experience was smooth (delivered fast, etc) I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to burn fat and curb their cholesterol. I’m regularly using this it now, can definitely see some difference, I add it to my daily protein shake. I find it mind blowing, and I don’t know if it’s a blend of factors, but I look more lean now than when I started using it.
Works great! Easy to mix into water, coffee, juice, or smoothies. Only 4 stars because it tastes a bit funky, but not a deal breaker. I bought it in order to help my milk supply. I've been taking as directed on the bag and I have immediately seen an increase in the fat content of my pumped milk. It looks like cream!! My skinny little baby is starting to put on more weight!!!
Used this in combination with organic Natural Vitamin C Acerola Cherries powder to make lypophilic Vitamin C that is absorbed through the stomach wall straight into the blood system and not lost like the 22 capsules I took a day to fight the Cancer....You see, cancer loves sugar and for some reason in the body, cancer thinks Vitamin C is sugar. So the cancer cells absorb the vitamin C. When that happens, there is a chemical reaction which produces hydrogen peroxide...and you guessed it.... the bubbles from the hydrogen peroxide cause the cancer cell to explode.
I beat my cancer, partly because of this, but I continue to take it twice a day...to prevent reoccurrence.
