I am very disappointed. This product is obviously very old indeed. I had problems with the mechanical pencil part first then when I did have enough product to test on hand first to determine hardness or softness and the pencil just broke off. Trust me - I know makeup products given I am a retired Hollywood makeup artist and just wanted the convenience of purchasing an eyeliner from Amazon . It’s just easier but this kohl pencil seemed to have more wax to it because it would not lay down color at all on my skin. I prefer the kohl pencils because they NORMALLY go on to the skin like butter. This pencil was horrible it is totally unusable. I will be looking for a refund for my $ . It’s just rotten that the product was so old and crumbling. I would definitely not recommend and advise to go to a different vendor and brand. I’m done with this brand.
The tip of the crayon broke before the first application. Then the second try………..broke……third try……broke. The crayon wouldn’t stick to my skin. What a crumbling mess. I can’t give it a good review. I’m surprised about this Revlon product. It must be old. I threw the packaging away, so I won’t try to send it back. It’s not worth the trip to the UPS store. This is one of the worst eye liners I have ever tried to use.
i was so excited for this because i have hazel eyes. i tried everything to make it work and it just doesn’t. i had to scrape the rock hard, waxy pencil across my lid and there was literally no color payoff whatsoever. it just crumbles. i don’t know if the one i got was expired or something, but it irritated my eye and i had to get eye drops from the ophthalmologist. also the “smudger” is like a sticky silicone that tugs at my eyes so hard?? idk what they were trying to do with that but it’s a miss. the color is gorgeous, but i can’t manage to get it on my eye without scraping my eyelids off. :/
The photos and description shows 24 hour wear which Revlon come out with about 2 years ago. I received 16 hour wear which is an old outdated product. When I used it, it caused a severe reaction. My eyes and the area around my eyes were red, swollen, burning, watering, light sensitive and extremely painful to touch for 2 days after using this eyeliner. I have been using Revlon colorstay eyeliner for 10+ years and have never had a bad reaction when using it until now. This doesn't seem to be a fluke either, I made the same purchase within a few days of each other and both products I received were the old outdated versions. It appears that they have some old stock that they are trying to get rid of by passing it off as the current version hoping that no one will notice. This is unacceptable!
If I could give 0 stars I would. This liner does not have one quality it claims. The concept of design for application is its only plus. The product itself is more like a crayon consistency that does not glide on. When u finally get it on, it’s not going to stay. Any oil from ur eyelids will cause it to easily smear. An hour after application I had raccoon eyes. It does not stay put. There are to many good products out there to waste your money on this purchase.
