To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
It does curl up on the ends because it is really, really thin. The colour is also not as shown--back ground is more grey/brown but still a cool pattern. The rug is super soft, but not sure how it will hold up.
Really pretty rug. We have this in our office, so the fact that it's thin is a huge plus, as we wanted our office chairs to be able to roll over it without a problem. And they do. I'm not sure what the description means as far as 'action backing' but the 5x7 rug has a waffle textured rubbery backing. This concerned me as we have LVT floors and I didn't want them to have a bad reaction, but two months in all is well so far.
The reason I'm knocking off a star is that the colors are not anything like the photo. On the rug I got everything was paler and more washed out. Still pretty, but not what I was expecting. I wanted the darker, more vibrant colors from the photo. It wasn't troubling enough to go to the hassle of sending it back, and we needed to protect our new floors from the office chairs, so we kept it, but I still would have preferred what I thought I was getting.
This seems to be a pretty rug. Unfortunately I didn't receive a nice, new rug. I received a rug in two pieces, sewn together in the middle with big, obvious stitches. It was in a plastic bag addressed to Groveport, Ohio. then the two piece rug was placed in a box with my name on it. I am 76 years old and am in Assisted living due to a stroke last year. I was so happy to have my new rug. I worked very hard to get it on my floor. Just lifting the box was too hard. I dragged it into my apartment, and began the arduous work of removing it from the box. My balance is bad since my stroke, which makes standing and lifting heavy items very hard. Leaning over to unroll it about finished me. I am asking that someone help me with the return, or else have it picked up for the return. I am certain I will be unable to reroll the rug and get it back to UPS. Thank you for any help you can provide. Sincerely, J. Anderson
The colors and size are just what I wanted along an island containing a sink. Directions say do not vacuum with a brush head, which is a bit disturbing, as the length makes it hard to shake out like a smaller rug. Also, it doesn't "slip" but we DO catch the edge with our feet and it curls up, meaning the rubber backing doesn't hold particularly well. Overall, I'm pleased, especially given it's price.
These just came today, so I preface this by saying I cannot speak to how long they will last as yet, but they are very thin.
That being said, I ordered three doormat sized ones and one 2'6" runner in the same pattern. The pattern looks as described, but I do see a bit of color variation which hopefully you can see in the picture. (Ignore my house slippers! It's a wee bit cold here!) So if you are a stickler for having all your rugs match you might not want this brand/pattern. I'm hoping that with a quick vacuuming and/or as they acclimate to being unrolled they won't look too different (or that maybe I'll just forget to notice!) I plan on ordering one more runner since they are a pretty decent price. I'll post back after I've had them a while.
