I installed it. Super easy to installed. My 10 month old immediately was able to open the lid and still smash his fingers since this item still gives it enough room to open and put entire hand in. Also, my little man was able to turn it without having to push the button to do so. And last, to remove it the manufacture said to put a hair dryer on base and sit there 5 minutes and then with dental floss to remove. Which is false... i was sitting there with the hair dryer for over 15min and dental floss did not work only a butter knife. The only reason i did all this was to save the toilet lid and not have to buy a brand new one. So save your money and your sanity. This is the worst product out there!!!
I followed the instructions which are quite simple. The concept is great but it just doesn’t work for out toilet cover. When I tried to remove it the adhesive was so strong that it damaged out cover lid. Now I think I might just leave it to cover up the damage and buy the old school lock that is bulkier because this didn’t work.
Not only did this not prevent my toilet lid from opening, but it could TRAP a kid in there!!! It opens halfway which is more dangerous than not having any lock on there. Not to mention the damage it causes when you realize this is a completely insane product and try peeling it off with a knife and a spatula...better have some repair supplies as well. I can't believe this product made it on the market or what kind of person designed this and did not realize how defective it was testing it.
Easy to use, easy to install, sticks on great but doesn’t do what it’s meant to do. Followed the directions properly and left a little space as it stated should be. Toilet lid can still be lifted up, not completely up but the baby can still stick there arm in. Took off and complete waste of money.
Immediately after install I knew there was no way this was going to work, as the toilet lid still lifted a bit. Glue is very sticky, I didn't even push down much and it was STUCK stuck. If you need to remove it, use warm hairdryer and ease it off with a butter knife (go slow!) then soak some cotton balls in rubbing alcohol and leave them on for a while to loosen the residue.
Didn't stick for even an hour. Plus it’s a hassle and it doesn’t flip into locked or unlocked automatically so you end up having to move it back with your hand... if you get it to stick. I cleaned the area with alcohol and let dry like instructed and held the pressure as instructed. Nope. Waste of money.
I had to return these because when I installed them you could still lift my toilet seat up just enough that little fingers would get pinched. When I removed the lock to send it back for the return it was SOOOO hard to get it off of my toilet (following the directions) and it left a bunch of glue on my toilet that was hard to clean
It is easy to install, but it doesn't work. The toilet seat cover don't get blocked. You can lift it a littlet bit when it is supposed to be blocked. Children fingers can easily enter throught that gap. Don't waste your money and look for another alternative.
Relatively easy to install, though it kept sliding underneath the toilet tank even with the sticker meant to prevent that. Then on first contact with my toddler, he used the leverage of the childproofing to effortlessly wrench the whole toilet seat off its mooring. We’re sticking to the kind with the strap down the side. Maybe a good fit for a different type of toilet or if you have dogs, not toddlers.
Definitely not worth it. Still opens a few inches, enough to get a little arm in. If they really want to get in they can, the lock just pops right off if they lift it hard enough. I have a 1 year old who can get right passed this thing. Total waste of money.
