The water goes in a different direction than on me & doesn’t come out of every single hole! The scent scenting up the bathroom or up close or not- scent can only be detected up close at initial use🤷♀️ 1 year warranty-what’s the point since many said the same but I wanted to give this a try. I contacted customer service , awaiting a response if any. Waste of money.
Well I received a response from Elizabeth alright - within 24 hours of my communication. She first requested images of the photos, then order # that I provided in my initial communication, then clarification of the issues, then asked if I cleaned the shower head, & final question wanting to what cleaner I used to clean the shower head!!! Pardon all the "then" that notes the numerous email communication back and forth to ask a single question. I let Elizabeth know that for a product being on a year warranty it is clear, that the company knowingly makes a inferior product, profits on it because they want to annoy you and not honor the warranty. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT! DO NOT BUY!
The scent blocks do nothing. We have tried using different ones to see if it was a faulty block, but it doesn’t even dissolve (and yes we removed the open sticker). One pin hole in a block doesn’t seem very effective, we have had 3 different blocks sitting in different positions, all used (unnoticeably for a month). All have a bubble in them that doesn’t drip out, can’t be blown out, dried with a hair dryer, nor even sucked out ( in question of what the heck is up with this thing, you get desperate. In all honesty I miss having a shower head with multiple settings. We traded it out for this model, and bought a few for holiday gifts. Don’t waste your time. Also, tdi meter shows no difference in tap water or water from this shower head, no reduction in anything, no additional vitamin c either. We these claims when we got suspicious using water testing kits from our 9 year old salt water aquarium, in which we must keep a close eye on all trace elements, chlorine, additives, or any chemical or bacterial changes or contamination. Looks fancy, Unser performs against any competition, scientific claims are bogus. Pretty disappointing.
I brought this shower head and only used it for a week. It hurts to take a shower. The water coming out too hard. No, you can't adjust it by the way. I had to buy a regular shower head which works great.
Buyer Beware! Let me start by saying I have never written a product review before; good or bad. I tell you this because I want you to know that I'm not a " my ice cream is too cold" kind of person. Ok, that said, I had this shower head for 3 months and loved it...then, the scent capsule plugged up and it exploded; luckily not breaking my glass shower doors! I emailed the company and: 1st, the response email from them came through as threatening spam (can happen w/any email); 2nd, their main concern was, had I written a review on Amazon; lastly, luckily the email address I used to contact the company was not the email that is associated with my Amazon account because I started receiving notifications that someone was trying to access my Amazon account. The last email I received from them left me with the impression that they were going to stand behind their product; no such luck; incommunicado! Again, Buyer Beware!
This shower head has so many flaws that I don't even know where to begin. The water is literally painful coming out of the shower head. It feels like stinging pin needles almost when it hits your skin. Ouch! There is no optimum temperature to use when taking a shower. By the time the water hits my skin it feels cold because of the way it comes out of the shower head. If I use the handheld attachment and hold the shower head a few inches from my head, the water is so hot that it burns my scalp. I'm constantly adjusting the temperature throughout the duration of my entire shower. Not to mention that the tiny pinhead holes on the shower head starting clogging within the first two weeks of use so that I have to unscrew it and thoroughly scrub it before each and EVERY SINGLE shower in order to get enough of a water flow to actually take a shower. Yes, I have iron and sulfur in my water and yes, there was less iron staining and less of a sulfur smell AT FIRST. Within a few weeks however, it's as if I'm using a regular shower head and not a filtered one. To say I'm disappointed in this shower head is putting it mildly. You get what you pay for I guess. So here I am, online again and looking to purchase a different shower head.
I bought it one month ago and the grey plastic screen that the water comes out of has cracked and the water output is only coming out around the outer edge of circles. I loved the product up until that occurred. Now I'm on the quest for a replacement part. I feel it's way too early for this to have happened. Unfortunate to say the least.
I think showerhead filter industry needs to be regulated better. Yes, the water felt softer and better yet something in this product made feel nausea and weak every time I showered. There is something other than Vitamin C in this filter.
I have tried multiple shower filters purchased here on Amazon and elsewhere and conclude that the best and healthiest option would be a whole house water filter (which an engineer recommended awhile ago.) Therefore, unless you are living in your own home and can afford this, you are somewhat out of luck.
I have felt negative side effects with other filters KDF and carbon filters. So at this point, I can only recommend the Sonaki pure vitamin C (just vitamin C, nothing else added.) However, this filter while it purports to remove chorine and chloramides does not truly soften the water and you may still experience dry skin and has its own product defect issues. I think we should be conscious of any additives (these "balls", granules etc.) these filters are using and have concrete science that the filter is not as harmful as the chemicals we are trying to filter out of our water. This is based on several years of trying shower filters because I have sensitive skin. But addressing my skin issues is not worth the cost of my overall health.
The moment you actually receive the product, you can notice the box's description differs from the product's description here on Amazon. On Amazon, it states that it filters flouride, just as it filters other things, such as chlorine. However, the box deliberately tries to word it in a manner that pulls wool over your eyes, listing the things it filters while adding "and reduces flouride" at the very end. Clearly, this doesn't filter flouride, which is what I bought it for based on the Amazon description. It's most disappointing.
In addition, although I've only owned this product for a week, it's already begun having problems with erratic sprays, which is incredibly disappointing for a 40-dollar shower head.
EDIT: Originally a 2 star review, changed to 1 star because the shower head is already rusting (1 week). MASSIVE disappointment.
It does accomplish the job of softening the water, and it does seem to have a small but positive effect on one's hair being softer. However, it is nowhere near enough for me to justify ever advising someone to purchase it.
