Fantastic product. Looks great, easy to work with and most importantly tidies the cables up. I play in a rock covers band and we had cables strewn across our rehearsal space. The photo attached shows a few of these cable snakes together. A week ago this was a mess of the 13 cables there. That's right there's THIRTEEN cables running along that skirting. Have already and will purchase more!
Purchased not as a cable protector / tidy, but as a silencer for internally routed gear cables on my road bike. I was able to pass this along the cables from where they exit the frame on the bottom of the down tube. Stopped the cables from vibrating without having to disconnect my front and rear derailleur. I now have a silent ride on my Cube bike. Next time I have to remove the cables I may opt for something more permanent but for now this is a great fix.
This product is a great resolve for cable management. It’s neat stylish and easy to use and maintain. My only criticism would be clearer directions on what size is needed for various cable numbers and sizes. There is some flexibility in terms of volume of cables it can contain but clearer guidelines would help.
I've read some reviews in the past and thought "really!" but this is one of those products that really has saved me a small fortune! Not only did it save me purchasing a new steam generator iron but also it saved me having to purchase new rather expensive bedding, as the the cords from the Bosch Iron had been marking the bedding, when rubbing on it during ironing. It's easy to fit and really does exactly what you want it to do, tidy the cables and cover the fraying, whilst stopping you from getting burnt. I personally had loads left over, so used the remainder as a cable tidy and it looks far better than the previous ones used.
I've used this to wrap speaker and networking wires in my living room, where the cable runs are visible. These wraps look great - a bit similar to a fabric weave (they're not fabric). They certainly look much better than most of the plastic or fabric runner alternatives I've seen on Amazon. Having cables go in or out along the run also works well and still looks good. Overall, these are very convenient and aesthetic. The price feels too high for what they are, but I don't exactly need 100ft of it and the cheaper alternatives looked a lot worse.
Bought the largest size for my home cinema cables. I found it to be ideal - you can cut to length with sharp scissors and the either tidy up the ends with a heat gun (I have a gas fired soldering iron with a heat attachment that was ideal). I expect a small flame/lighter would be fine too. You can also do what the professionals do and fold over the ends before wrapping them around the wires and then using a zip tie to hold snug. Would buy again.
I originally bought cablemod for my Pc's all in one but the diameter and length was incorrect (Despite it stating that it'd fit). Needless to say it didn't. So I ordered this which is the same wrap but a smaller diameter and a lot more length. After cutting it to size it fitted perfectly.
I'd highly recommend this over cablemod. Same wrap except much cheaper and twice as much product.
Used to sheath my washer cable that was tatty because my bunnies accidentally got in and nibbled it (superficial damage only). I don’t think it would stop bunnies to be honest but it makes it a bit protected from any passing nips and it looks better. Took a few minutes to put on and I secured it with the odd cable tie (although I think it would stay in place without them).
I bought this to wrap some cables on my desktop computer, I quite like the "nylon look" and as the cables would not fit in an already closed loop I decided to buy this. Fitting the cables in is easy as soon as you find the technique and it's way easier than the closed version of this.
Overall the product is well made and does a fantastic job.
I just built my own desk and wanted to manage all the cables. This stuff is the business! Pretty easy to use - the instructions say to cut with a hot knife, but I used a regular stanley and melted the frayed ends with a lighter. It's quite expensive, but I think worth spending the extra cash. Cables are easy to install, and poke out at the intervals you need them.
