The hose arrived by today as promised. My old hose is leaking & I can’t find the special gasket that I would need to replace. I installed the new hose as soon as I received but it didn’t fit either end properly & it leaked badly. My biggest frustration is that Amazon has started charging for return pickup for any item under $50. I take care of my 86 year old Mom & it isn’t easy leaving her. The pickup was helpful. This hose didn’t fit & leaked badly - why should I be charged for that? After my 2nd call to dispute this I was promised an $8 credit towards my next hose purchase which never appeared when I placed the order. Customer Service has changed & sadly not for the better.
When your original shower hose starts to leak, but the shower head is still good, you start to think maybe it's a good idea to just replace the hose. This one worked for a few months before IT started to leak. In the end, I just decided to buy a whole new shower head with hose.
This is the 2nd time I have purchased this hose. Initially loved it because of length. The first one failed in less than a year however I assumed that was a fluke and ordered another one. This one failed in 1 1/2 months. The length is great but the rate of failure is not. I do not use the hose in a rough manner; don't stretch or pull on it. I am disappointed and will not buy another one.
I've had three of these and all three come apart at one end or the other. Not sure what the problem is. I don't usually turn the shower on full blast but my wife does and she pushes the button on the shower head to control the water flow. I use the tap to do the same. I think that the hot water softens the rubber and metal a bit to allow the thing to separate. I love the flex but they need to make it more secure at the ends or don't use full power from the tap and control the pressure from the shower head.
A split and a leak has developed in the body of the hose before 60 days of use. Not tickled with this, at all. We are an older couple and this hose has not been ill-used or roughly treated. It just needs to transport water, which it is now transporting through it's side, in spray form. Not impressed.
At first I thought this was a nice quality hose, it's a great length to be able to bathe my dog in the tub easily (with a standard shower I can lay the shower sprayer on the bottom of the tub easily, versus it hanging there like with the shorter ones). Unfortunately, it broke the first time I used it. The rubber near the end of the hose with the sprayer split and sent water shooting everywhere when I set it to a lower spray. I waited too long to install it and use it so I can't return so I can't comment on that process. Install was easy, it came with teflon tape and there was no dripping/leaking at the joined areas. If you have good water pressure, be warned - the rubber part of this hose can't seem to handle it.
