Feels and looks great. My only quibble is that I have sharp knives (Japanese and Euro but we'll maintained) and it's already showing cut marks and scratches after a few uses. It's a fine balance, too hard and it blunts your knives, too soft and your knives cut the board. Will see how it holds up after 6 months
First time use for chopping onions and mushrooms and it's full of scratches. It was not a heavy use so I was not expecting it to have scratches. I wonder what will happen if I chop something hard which needs more force. The plastic is not any better than what you can get from the dollar store. The nonslip feet work great though. Will try to return it as it obviously is not durable.
Was a fan of OXO until I tried this cutting board. Look at the picture I provided, these are the scratches left from simply chopping herbs and cutting meat. I used an old Ikea knife that I have not sharpen in months. How did it pass any R&D testing?
I don’t know why this cutting board has such great reviews. It’s really expensive and it’s awful. At first I thought it was great because everything I cut slid off the board so easily and it’s really easy to clean because of the slippery surface.
I bought this buying into reviews, but the negative ones were so accurate. After using it twice, I noticed tiny little pieces of plastic peeling off the surface where I had cut my food. My knives weren’t even that sharp when using it.
I don’t want to use this product anymore because I’m worried that plastic from the board is going into my food.
Out of desperation, I bought a $7 plastic cutting board that was much larger from presidents choice. I sharpened my knives using it multiple times and it has no scratches and no peeling plastic.
This product was a total waste of money. I would expect this from a cheap cutting board, not the other way around.
Good size, large enough to cut up a whole chicken. Easy to clean. One side lies flat and the other side has small non slip feet. The feet make board bounce a bit while cutting, yielding a weird feeling. Expensive for plastic board.
We cook alot, and these boards are simply the best. We now have 3, and this latest one is even better and whiter than our 2 previous ones (all different sizes). Nice fit and finish. Cleans perfectly, knife patina is very shallow, seems easy on knife edges, easy grip to take to the sink, looks and performs professional. Edge channels on one side, grippy little feet on all 4 corners on both sides.
