I was so excited to replace my current monitor stand but this didn’t fit my LG ultrawide curved monitor since the vesa Mount doesn’t fit the inset of my monitor. I’ve had multiple types of clamp on stands before and I’ve never run into this problem before. Also glad it didn’t work out since this is the first time that I’ve seen the piece that attaches the arm to the pole be made of... plastic? All the others I’ve used in the past have been metal & I trust that to be sturdier specially with such a big monitor.
Huge absurd flaw - the big main side-to-side joint cannot be tightened, rendering this item useless. It forces the screen position to sag and swing away to its lowest point. It cannot be adjusted. It cannot be made to stay in place. All attempts to position the screen are futile, defeating the entire purpise. Avoid!
Good range of motion and easy to assemble, but in general, not very happy with this after several months of use. The piece that connects the arm to the vertical rod is plastic and very flimsy, and it makes the monitor look and feel unstable. I can’t trust it to hold the monitor up if the arm is extended beyond half its total length or range. Just typing on a keyboard will cause the monitor to wobble. It’s effectively become a desk-mounted monitor stand rather than a fully adjustable arm. I’m outside the return window, unfortunately, but I cannot recommended this. I will be replacing it soon.
My setup: 34" ultrawide monitor, weighing just under 13 pounds
For the price, I would say that it is a decent buy for anyone who has a smaller and lighter monitor. It is easy to assemble, and for a smaller monitor I would anticipate that it will do exactly what it claims. Now for my monitor, no matter how much you tighten the screw, it has a very hard time holding up my monitor - it constantly progresses to a downward tilt and almost impossible for it to stay as an upward tilt. If you are someone with a 34 ultrawide and rarely move your setup, you could probably get away with using this, but it might annoy you that you have to keep tilting it up every time you use it to get it in a workable position. Overall, i'm not sure if i could recommend this - not sure if I got a defective product but there are probably better products out there for not that much more in price.
A pretty standard, decent mount for the average monitor. Works fine with my feather-weight 27" monitor, but even with adjusting the screws with the hex wrench all the way, the tilt and gas-spring arm cannot handle my 34", 16lbs ultra-wide, which should be fine given this item's description says up to 34" and up to 19lbs.
I've purchased 3 different brands of monitor arms in the last 5-6 years. This particular product performs the worst of the three brands, and it was the lowest price of all three. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, this product holds a monitor at a desired angle and position. So from that perspective, it works. What its bad at, is remaining stable. As I type this review, the two other arms hold the exact same monitors without any movement at all, but this product allows the monitor to bounce as I type. Its extremely annoying.
Quite nice for the price. Not that sturdy even for 27" monitor. I bought it to pair with my existing monitor pole and it's turned well. The rating is 2 because I received a used item as new one. It was repacked with scotch tape all over the box. The arm has scratches on it. Bolts and other mounting items were all over the box and it's not possible to understand if complication is complete or not.
I have a 32" TV, 14.2 lbs. (including this ErGear arm) with 200x200mm VESA pattern. I used a VESA adapter to successfully attach to the arm to the TV. After mounting the spring arm to the post, there are 2 notable performance issues: 1. The monitor swivel does not keep the tilt angle in place (minor) 2. The arm is not able to hold the TV elevated no matter the amount of adjustment I tried to the gas spring (major)
