I have quite a few monitor arms in my procession. Most of them are either bulky, expensive, expensively bulky, cheaply made, or bulky expensive and cheaply made. Not this one. Not only it's heavy enough to be very stable on my desk, it's light enough that I can move my monitor easily. The best part though, is that I now have most of desk back. I push it back when I need my desk and pull it forward when I need to read the fine prints on my monitor.
I was a little worried when I ordered this, due to comments from others. I am happy to report, the arm has a very sturdy clamp, is built well, and has no trouble holding and moving a large monitor around. I recently converted my office to a sit/stand setup. I was originally going to buy a very expensive arm, but it was out of stock, so I went with this one to hold me over. It works so well, I cancelled the other order!
This is one of the few arms that has a 25" lift height and is adjustable. I can move my monitor to a standing position easily. The joints are pretty tight and the arm can hold your monitor without moving out of position from you bumping the desk. With that said, the vibration does carry up the arm to your monitor. I don't think there is much that can be done about that other that to use a wider foot on the clamp. Possibly a sturdier desktop would stop that as well. The cable routing system...well, can't fit my monitor cable into it very easily, or maybe I was just too impatient. Used Velcro tied to strap on the cables and the problem was solved. The lower cable catcher works well though and you can put your allen wrenches in there so you have them handy if needed!
Mounting was easy, you can put the plate on your monitor, then lift it into place and put in the remaining two screws to complete the process. I can definitely recommend this to anyone looking to buy.
Bought my first one in April and just got my second one today. The first one was used to mount a 28" ASUS 4K above 2 of my Asus 24" 2K screens.
This second one that came today was used to mount a 32" TCL ROKU TV to my right and I clamped it to the desk. Look.... these things are made in China. Most of the same units are sold by different sellers with goofy, various names. I have no clue who "ErGear" is and it's just the name someone came up with. There are gobs of weird company names selling very similar units for more money. If I had to make up names, stuff like "happyLife" "dongtech" or "flowerPurpose" or whatever weird name someone comes up with. This unit will hold your monitor and you will be ale to adjust it exactly what you want it. I highly recommend it and if I choose to add a fifth screen to my setup, I am buying this again. You can push it back, pull it up, tilt it side to side. back and forth. You can mount it as high or as low on the pole as you want. fantastic for the money, zero reason to spend any more of your hard earned money.
I've had this monitor mount for about a month now, and feel that I've used it enough to give it a thorough review.
I bought this specifically for a 24 inch ThinkVision monitor (T24i-10), with the recessed VESA mounting as you can see in the attached picture and it fit perfectly. I was a bit apprehensive because upon reading the description, unlike some other reviewers, I thought that I may have to make some modifications to make the mount work because it actually says "not compatible with recessed mount" in the first bullet.
Despite the description, I purchased it anyway because this monitor mount allows the monitor to be lowered when I need it to be. And, I figured if the recessed mount was a problem, nothing some spacers and longer screws from Home Depot couldn't fix for a few dollars. Adapt and overcome, right?
I'm glad that I purchased this, because in the month I've been using it, it's working flawlessly. Installation was a snap, adjustments were done once and I haven't had to readjust since. As you can see in the picture, this monitor mount sits atop my work monitors, and I regularly reposition it for some gaming and non work-related browsing activities. It comes down about half way of the other monitors, and if I lift my chair then it's perfect.
For the price and functionality, I couldn't find a better mount, and now that I've used it daily, I couldn't think of a better solution without spending significantly more.
The versatility of the clamp is what got me. I didn’t want to drill, but wanted something that felt secure. My roommate introduced me to this product. His has functioned flawlessly for 2+ years, and so far, so has mine. You’ll want to play with the tension a bit as, out the box, it comes pretty stiff. Adjusting the arm has minimal off set. Less than 3 Cm’s if tension is set right. Accessing the tension bolt is a bit of a drag, as you have to push down the arm to expose the Allen bolt. But even with the inconvenience the arm was set in place in less than 10 minutes. Mounting horizontal is a breeze. But be wary of how low your monitor is when you push down to expose the tension bolt. It’s better to set the arm high on pillar and adjust it down, than to start low and need to adjust the height later to expose the tension bolt. Would buy again for next monitor install.
