To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Original ink cartridges fitted are 'initial' so don't expect them to last as long as new replacement cartridges.
On that note, be carful when buying replacement ink cartridges as in the instructions it indicates 202/202XL (Aus & NZ) cartridges are equivalent to 03C/03D (asia). My experience is that the printer does not recognize the Epson 202XL black ink cartridge nor other 3rd party 202XL colour cartridges. This was an expensive mistake.
Other slight annoyance is error messages on the menu etc.
This is a good printer for use at home - covers the biggest printing and scanning needs and takes up little space to do so. Wireless printing is a big boon. The setup is also relatively fast though the software is a bit annoying with frequent popups. The printer also can be a little noisy (though this might be because my house is quiet).
Don’t waste your money! My cartridges are empty after printing 30 b&w pages and 1 colour photo. I am very upset, I bought it a month ago, and the running cost is so high that I am not going to use it anymore.
