Be aware!! This is an exceptionally NARROW & thinner than expected mat. It never occurred to me to pay more attention to the width in particular because, well... why wouldn’t a kitchen mat be wide enough to stand on once butted up to the baseboard of the cupboards, at a sink, like “normal” sized mats? Well, IT IS NOT. You’ll literally stand on the outer lip of the mat if tucked underneath a very standard width bottom cupboard area. The last photo is the mat from Costco that is standard & twice as thick & MUCH better quality in every aspect, that I’m super sad that they no longer carry. I was excited about the length of this mat, but now understand why it’s a good price. To be a standard mat width, it would need another 4” or so in width! We’re going to use it in our basement wood shop. I would’ve never paid this much for a shop mat.
I rarely write reviews unless I love it or hate it. I searched for a long time before I decided on these mats. My ultimate decision was because it said they wouldn’t stick to my floors. Wrong! Although they are nice looking, look good in my kitchen, it’s like they are permanently stuck! I’ve had these less than 2 months. I went to pick them up to clean and they were stuck so hard one of them ripped on the bottom while I was gently trying to peel them off. So if you have carpet , they would be nice, if you don’t they stick very bad and leave rubber on your floor. Extremely disappointed!!
These are definitely being returned!! I did measure several times & was satisfied that the 17 x 28 size was a good match for this area. We already have 5 large beautiful anti fatigue mats in our kitchen, but I was sold when I saw these. I thought the pattern looks upscale, maybe a darker color would give the kitchen a lift, but no! As you can see in the picture, these mats look like typical cheap small dirty old mats you'd stick out by your basement door. I'm not at all impressed. I'm pissed when I look at the pictures on Amazon & see nothing but fat, wide, upscale looking mats. My cat sat on one & there was almost no more room around him! The material & pattern is great, but any light crumb on your floor will appear on these mats. The 17 x 28 size looks very tacky & cheap! As you can see in the 2nd pic, the lighter mats I already own are bigger & better! These are going back soon! False advertising on these!!!!
I was surprised at the lack of cushioning in this mat and would have returned it if I had not been so difficult to find a place to return it to in this pandemic atmosphere. So I kept it! Not pleased at all.
