To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Update Jan. 2023. I reached out to the seller, they were quick to respond and send a replacement in a couple of weeks. I'm upgrading my review to four stars because of their quick response and honoring the warranty.
Purchased in July 2022. Like some other reviewers, the shower wand holder sags and won't stay in place. It started this behavior about two months after install. The wand has fallen off during showers because of this and is a safety risk. Wand could fall on anyone taking a shower. Have to keep readjusting it. Can't return now & I'm disappointed about the product. I've reached out to the seller for a replacement. We'll see...
When a simple product goes above and beyond I feel the need to point it out. this valve came with a big roll of plumbers tape as well as a custom wrench for installing it. There were 3 extra gaskets as well, which it turned out I needed one because my shower head didn't come with one. The valve action is super smooth and easy to adjust without leaks. after I finished install which took about 5 minutes it looked like a professional plumber had installed this with the shower.
This diverter replaces a chrome plated plastic diverter. The new one doesn't leak and I'm not worried about cracking the unit by overtightening. Finally something sturdy and dependable. Switching shower to handheld unit is easier with the lever too
Many products in this category are cheap painted plastic, which fail quickly and look bad. This item is the exact opposite: made of quality materials, sturdy, attractive. I'm very happy with this purchase.
This diverter was purchased because the plastic Waterpik Body Wand Spa Shower Head System with Anywhere Bracket broke. Now we have a Delta Universal Showering Components Chrome Shower Head 2.5-GPM head that is tall enough for my over six foot tall husband, and the wand from the combo that I love. We had to also purchase the All Metal 9 Foot Shower Hose For Hand Held Shower Heads, Chrome | Extra Long 108 Inch Cord Made With Commercial Grade Stainless Steel | Universal Replacement Part For Handheld Shower head Hoses and use it with the wand as the Waterpik attachment hose is too large for standard hose holders. We did not put it all together in the standard order, we wanted to maximize the height of the shower. Just turning the diverter half way gives the wand plenty of flow and the shower head flows well. If I want to use it as the turbo blaster 5000, I can turn it all the way and turn the wand setting to full blast (no water to the shower head). Nice, we are both happy, I am 5'5" and it works for me too :) No more redirecting the shower head from blasting me in the face (which is when the breaking of the last one happened). I have not tried leaving the wand in the holder with the water on, it is always in my hand when I turn it on and off. The holder pivots so you can move it around which allows the raise head not to interfere, but I've seen some complaints about it not supporting a wand, maybe too much power/force to use in the holder. Having had a plastic unit break makes me appreciate and almost all metal option. If you missed it the diverter does not restrict the flow at all, but allows me to choose the restriction level I want.
REVIEW UPDATE After seeing my review the seller reached out to ask how they could fix my problem. I said a refund or replacement would be great. They sent me a new one because it has a 10-year warranty (says so right in the fine print). It got here faster than they thought it would. I told them after I got it that I would revisit my review if the product held up, but would be completely honest. It has worked without any issues and I'm very happy with the customer service.
If you get a bad product from a seller I suggest contacting them before leaving a review.
ORIGINAL REVIEW The handle to hold the shower wand doesn’t stay in place. It droops down while using it. It stayed up when off, at first. Then it drooped so far forward the wand fell off!
I found a similar one on here that has an allen screw to keep it in place. Will junk this one since I didn’t install it until way out of the return window.
