Ordered this for my bedridden dad. I knew the tray was small but the picture of the adult woman in bed makes the product look taller than it is. No problem with width and depth but the height of the legs is not 20 cm so the tray just ends up sitting on your lap with no support from the legs. The 20 cm height includes the tall edges around the sides. I will have to return. My pictures show that the actual space between the bottom of the legs and underside of the tray is only 6 inches so there is not much leg room. Suitable for a child or a small adult. I also feel this product is overpriced.
The frame is bamboo, the legs are bamboo, but the base of the tray is particle board with a bamboo pattern printed on the top and bottom. It's just much more flimsy than actual bamboo would have been and will not last of anything wet spills on it, so definitely use coasters if you will be using it for drinks. I would have given it a better rating if there was anywhere in the description of the product that said it was made with bamboo and particle board, but it currently states over and over about the solid bamboo construction with no mention of other materials.
I purchased this in a rush right before surgery, so I didn’t really notice the dimensions. This is a perfect tray for a child or a very petite adult. It’s tiny, it’s short. We’ve been laughing about it for a week. The tray top itself is particle board, not bamboo. For this cost I could’ve found a larger tray that would’ve suited my needs better but I’ll still find some use for it. Pay attention to the measurements before buying.
We were expecting trays large enough for adults. Maybe these were described as for kids and we didn't notice. My husband had to put the tray just over one leg (off to the side) for it to fit him. Trying to put it over both legs was too tight and uncomfortable. He is 6 feet tall and 212 lbs. (Not an overweight guy). I also thought it was small for me. I am 5'6" and 136 lbs. I have already ordered different ones and made sure to check the size dimensions so this doesn't happen again.
This item is not true to size. It's very small and hardly has any room to eat. It's a couple of inches smaller than advertised. I ordered 2 and had to return them and get a refund. The return process was easy and hassle free.
I specifically ordered the Furninxs tray after reading the reviews about the advantage of having a tray with legs that lock. Instead of the Furninxs, I received a different brand, Pipishell, which had bad reviews because the legs don't lock. I'd have returned it but needed it immediately for my husband who just had surgery. I wasn't happy to have my order switched--and I was charged the Furninxs price and the Pipishell was cheaper.
The legs are hard to extend, and the bottom seems very flimsy. It's not for heavy items. The bottom seems like it's a synthetic or particle board material w a bamboo print. Not sure how long it will last.
