To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Very, very small That was my original review. Since then the company who sold it had badgered me twice via email saying product dimensions were accurate when they were not even listed and even gone so far as to say I was judging them The product is very very small, it won't even fit a wisk in it. The fact that they hassled me is another big red flag. I will never buy another product from A-homeware again.
Arrived missing parts and damaged. The long handle used to hold the boiler was missing and the small handle used to balance the boiler onto the lip of a pot was detached and mangled. The tiny metal plate used to attach the small handle was missing. I rarely give feedback but this item was so bad that I felt remiss if I didn't share my experience and I now see that others have had similar, recent experiences.
This double boiler insert holds only 1.5 cups to the brim! I bought this believing it would hold at least that amount comfortably if full capacity was 2 cups. This seller needs to revise the description. I have taken pictures with 1 cup of water and 1.5 cups to show that it does not even come close to holding 2 cups. So much for truth in advertising. If you like this item be prepared to use it as about ONE CUP capacity not as advertised.
I washed this item before my first use however when I used it it left a grayish color on my melting candy I removed the candy and washed a second time and the same thing happened I am truly disappointed in this product
This is a terrible pot. I washed it with soap before I used it to mix my cream cheese butter. And guess what? Some kind of black oil came out from the metal. Luckily I can see it easily from my white batter!
It arrived in a small plastic bag with the handle broken off. It had been welded to the cup at one point but had to have been broken off before being put into the bag as the bag was too small for an attached handle. Was I supposed to weld the handle on myself?
