It’s well made but from very lightweight material. If you’re looking for sturdiness on a memory foam mattress I’m afraid you would want to keep looking. With my standard 15 inch Dell work (heavy) laptop on it I can still enjoy the height it provides, however I constantly worry about it tilting over should I move a little bit. It rocks back and forth very easily due to the featherweight legs and the design that transfer the weight from the top through only 2 vertical think lines (the legs). My lesson learned is to look for a bed desk with 4 legs and avoid aluminum.
I ordered this to allow me to work on my laptop without anything sitting in my lap and it does. However the stops are in the way and the laptop will not come as far down the tray as I would prefer. I flopped the stops and then turned the tray around and it works. But now I can not use the angle feature because the tray will not angle correctly. It will probably work find with my tablet.
Pros: - flexibility with angle and height - Clips to hold Keyboard in place - Lightweight Cons - Should be wider in order to accommodate normal keyboards - Somewhat rickety out of the box, calling to question the products long term durability
The honest reason I bought this was so I could play RTS styles games from my couch. For that, it works fine: no assembly required and it works right out of the box. There is a great deal of adjustability in regards to angle and height to accommodate pretty much everyone. The clips to hold the KB are a nice touch, and the product can be easily put away. My main issue is that the product cannot really accommodate a standard size KB and mouse simultaneously. I place my KB offset in order to have a mouse on the tabletop which, while looks awkward, works for the most part. There is noticeable looseness in the joints, which worries me since this is a brand new product. Based upon my usage of other Chinese products like this, I speculate that this will only last eighteen months to two years at the most.
The pros: solid top and aluminum legs. Easily adjusts up/down and the top tilts. Nice look.
Cons: not sturdy. The legs flair out. Bottom of legs have no rubber.
The lack of small rubber leg pads is a big negative. The thing slides around. Had to put it on an oversized neoprene mouse type pad. So beware. We almost lost a MacBook when the dog bumped the table and the computer stand (being too close on the edge) slid off.
